this CC3 situation reminds me of Ice Poseidon with Cx Coin
they were both edgy and cultivated an audience around that. then, they became "reformed" and began pandering to a more normie, wholesome audience. their audiences shrank in size, but they were devoted to sticking with them through all the hate and turbulence. in Ice's case, he fucked over his small, remaining fanbase by scamming them with Cx Coin. in Ian's case, he fucked them over by sabotaging his own event, borderline scamming his few remaining fans who wanted to support him through buying tickets to CC3.
however, in my opinion, Ian's situation is WORSE than Ice's. with Ice, at least its always been known that hes toxic and scummy to some extent. of course the scumbag goblin would scam his fanbase unashamedly, duh. now, imagine if we were back in 2016, looked into the future, and saw Ian pulling this shit. people would be shocked that he'd stoop so low to fuck over his fans. hell, at least Ice got a bag from it. with Ian and Anisa, they always lose. they made NO money. they LOST the respect of their few remaining fans, who have also LOST their money. the fighters LOST their time and will probably make no money. whoever's organizing the event will likely LOSE money. just straight up LOSERS!
with modern day Ian and Anisa, anyone else can be considered a winner next to them, even sociopathic crypto scammers like Ice Poseidon. shitting on your old fanbase, only to take in a new one who genuinely believes in you, only to shit on them as well, has got to be the lowest fucking move possible. and they will never take responsibility, so hopefully they're held accountable. financially, legally, however it may turn out.
