Funnily enough, that's also the argument Russian sovereign citizens use when they claim to not be the subjects of Russian Federation
German sovcits do something similar example they claim they're subjects of the German Reich, which perhaps wasn't ended with every formality followed. It's a larp, perhaps too in part to get out of fines, but it's surely the way of people lost in their own neuroses as it's more trouble to its weirdo practitioners.

One of Putin's advisor essentially said the USSR had not been legally dissolved, that it still legally exists, that a vote of the Congress of People's Deputies had not happened or was not done correctly according to procedure. A self identified conservative who supports Putin gargles more cum than Destiny.
Oh yeah, like borsheviks overthrowing the interim government back in 1917 was official procedure. About time we reformed the internationally recognized ruling body and continued honoring our WW1 agreements.

And as megalul said, there is indeed a whole subculture of delusional ostalgie boomers who peddle that nonsense. They have a decently sized presence online as well, maybe a CW/IC thread is in order.

That's how retarded Putin is

Orange fatigue is real. It is the new black, after all...
How does a Sovereign Citizen work in Russia? I was under the impression if you tried that, you'd get beaten.

A Sovereign Vatnik trying to (and failing to) explain why he doesn't require dedovshchina because the vodka bottle being inserted for correction does not date from the USSR.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz:

"There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine, not from the British, not from the French, not from us, not from the Americans either. This means that Ukraine can now also defend itself by attacking military positions in Russia, for example.

It couldn't do that until some time ago, and with very few exceptions, it didn't do that until some time ago. Now it can. In jargon, we call this long-range fire, i.e., equipping Ukraine with weapons that attack military targets in the rear.

And that is the decisive qualitative difference in Ukraine's warfare. Russia attacks civilian targets absolutely ruthlessly, bombing cities, kindergartens, hospitals, and old people's homes. Ukraine does not do that.

And we attach great importance to keeping it that way. But, a country that can only defend itself against an attacker on its own territory is not defending itself adequately. And this defense of Ukraine is now also taking place against military infrastructure on Russian territory."

It doesn't, it's literally LARPing. Those morons buy expensive mock USSR IDs, license plates and other epic merch from grifters true and honest comrades and consider it their duty to inform everyone around them how Russian Federation is actually just a business entity formed by the globalist minions of the Jews/British queen/22 hierophants/whoever the fuck else.
There's a whole genre of videos where those fuckwits get stopped by the traffic police and start yelling about how they're getting terrorized by the criminal cabal controlling the country(which, to be fair, isn't too far from the truth).

The less stable members also have a particularly strong hateboner for Chabad, which they consider pretty much the root of all evil in the country, if not the whole world. There were even some assassination attempts made against local rabbis which, combined with the usual schizo stuff like burning down communication towers eventually caused the whole movement to be labeled as an extremist group.

Here's a video of a bunch of Russian soldiers killing themselves.
Why do they do this with such alarming regularity?
Russia simply doesn't have the capabilities to treat so many wounded, the useful/connected ones can sometimes get plucked off the ground, but the average foot slogger is left where he fell.
Ukrainians are generally better about this, recovering wounded whenever possible.

I remember very early in the war, a Russian aid station was captured and it was in appalling conditions. Mud and blood caked on the floors, on tables, everything was filthy. If anyone has that image laying around, they should post it, I can't find it anymore.

Edit: forgot to mention, they're literally trained to do this, they're deliberately told nobody is coming for them and they should kill themselves to avoid being taken prisoner.

I'm pro Ukraine but this video is absolutely retarded
* Too much TDS: When all said and done nothing changed with Trump. EU seems to pick up the slack, which makes sense considering they are actually closer to Russia and under potential threat.
* We only give Russia a pass because it's white: As if there aren't constant wars and atrocities in Asia and Africa no one gives a shit about because the people fighting them are black.
* WW2 USA had principles: It did the same thing of only supplying equipment and entering the war only after being attacked by the Japanese.
* Need to have America and EU invade Ukraine: Just retarded.

The only point I agree is that the peace talks have Russia basically win in advance if their demands are met.

Trump 1.0 would have at least threatened to bomb Moscow in a mean tweet by now.
Trump got handed a sack of shit by Biden who only did what he should have done three years ago on his way out the door, and a group of "allies" continuing to fund Russia. and while its only been 4 months absolutely nothing of note has happened and no additional pressure has been applied to Russia.

There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine, not from the British, not from the French, not from us, not from the Americans either.
This is long overdue, and if Merz actually sends over Tartus that'll be some great news. Taxing Russia's already dogshit logistics will increase the cost of war.

Only thing that bugs me a little is he mentions the US lifted all range restrictions, but there hasn't been an announcement from the US (or if there is, I've missed it; I've not been on top of events for a couple weeks admittedly) so that might have been letting something slip that was supposed to be a surprise. Biden Admin quietly lifted weapons restrictions before and only confirmed a few months after the fact, presumably to fuck with Russia so they couldn't be sure what happened.

And now that I've thought about it a second, I'm also curious if there is some weasel wording about geographic no-no areas.

He's 100% correct when he says US Negotiators are wildly out of their depth.
Eh, I mean it doesn't matter who you send when the other side has no intentions of seriously engaging in peacetalks.

Russians aren't white lmao. They are descended from the Mongol Horde and it shows.
It's claimed that the Slavs and the founders of Kievan Rus' were descended from Scandinavians that traveled along the Volga river, but I suspect they're only reporting the heritage that they're proud of. The stereotypical Russian phenotype (glossy, beady eyes, broad faces) makes me think there's more Scythian or Hunnic admixture than they'd like to admit.

Back to the Urals, they've always been the "others" on the fringes of Europe, and it doesn't help that they took over Siberia and claimed the Turkic/Tungusic natives there as Russian subjects.

I feel bad for Ukrainians they got fucked over by everyone for being the US proxy. If your country shares a border with a country the US doesn’t like your country gonna wind up more damaged than the enemy. Putin’s ego is too big to concede to anyone.
Idk, I would say the NATO ones so far have a good track record of not being Chechnya, Georgia, Syria and Ukraine.

Nigga cmon, be reasonable. You can't excuse all of the president's failures by just pointing at Biden. Trump thought he could end a war by just telling both sides to cut that shit out. It wasn't that easy and now he's turned his eye to other issues leaving Ukrainians and Russians to murder each other. It's a stereotype to be elected into office, fail at solving a foreign issue that you thought was simple, and then try to forget about your failures by focusing on dumber, domestic problems while blaming your predecessor. It's nothing new and Trump is just another incompetent politician in a long line of idiots.

Your people are at fault for this, somehow.

I've actually seen it work in one incident with traffic police (there's dashcam footage somewhere), who eventually decided it was more trouble than it's worth and let the dude go. I'm not entirely sure the driver was serious, but he had the whole spiel rehearsed and just drowned cop in so much bullshit he gave up... even had his old USSR passport with him, which he promptly shoved into policeman's face along with the barrage of plausibly sounding nonsense
It was great

Why are you completely unable to criticize and be critical of Donald Trump?

To be fair, that's basically how he resolved USA's tensions with North Korea, he got lucky with a nat 20 roll, leading to the first time in history that a US president set foot inside the Korean demilitarized zone. I recall that prompting a South Korean president at the time to state that Trump should receive the Nobel peace prize for that. So I think Donald thought that resolving the Ukraine war will be a similar cake walk - stir up some shit, which prompts the countries leaders to meet up with you and then everything's gonna solve itself out, with all the insults being bygones, get ready on a plane ticket to Stockholm to receive a medal for ending a war.

But it seems like even Trump is starting to realize what kind of unreasonable psychopath Putin truly is and that another moment of exceptional luck will not manifest here. That is scary to think about, that Trump had an easier time meeting up personally with a North Korean dictator then president of Russia. That can't be a good precedent in foreign politics.
