AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

Wasn't sure if these should go here or the Bluesky thread. There's AI derangement, yes, but also a unique form of Bluesky insanity.

The only method these people can conceive of to promote their beliefs and interests is attempted shaming and social ostracism, and they don't realize that their social ostracism doesn't work anymore and that they're just isolating themselves into a smaller and increasingly deranged bubble.

Karl's whole persona, and the general genre of this guy (from looks down to personality: hipster cosplaying a sex offender, I've seen the term "safe sleazy" thrown around and applied to Breadtubers) makes me MATI. It's because of posts like this, but hey, at least they are revealing their character publicly.

Shaming will work on many (most?) people if it's perceived to be universal.
This is why they do it. A lot of Bluesky dwellers are Twitter refugees exactly because they no longer got special considerations from Twitter jannies to make their consensus seem universal.

Their "arguments," when they do use them, are all regurgitated slop from some other poster with identical beliefs
Ironic, no? Isn't that their biggest gripe with AI, that it's all regurgitated slop?

That's fine; they've got their interests and AI is opposed to their interests. If someone wants to pay money to a natural intelligence to regurgitate some cartoon slop, he can. And if someone wants to prompt an artificial intelligence to do the same thing for free, he can. That would be intimidating to a cartoon slop regurgitator, understandably.

In the bLuEsKy thread, they're malding about being fact-checked in real-time. They're just regurgitating a joke about Google from 30 years ago, except that they're serious.

If they treated translation with any kind of objectivity and not insert retarded bullshit like gamergate for the sake of localization I'd actually be sympathetic towards them.
When translators give you slop, that's a distillation of 2000s proto-SJW fandom/fujo culture with a hero complex about it. When ChatGPT gives you slop, that's a distillation of a significant portion of all text output by humans. It's still slop, but it's not pretending it's the second coming of Jesus.

I find it especially fitting that these particular people get owned by a pile of tensors. I have some hearsay that says their ilk conspired to push out insufficiently lefty geeks from their shared spaces as far back as the mid 2000s.

These managers are not going to crank the AI button themselves. They are too useless and lazy and dumb to do that.

They will want some minion to do it, so people that embrace and know how to use AI will still have a place, at least for the next few years.

It's those people screaming about how AI suck and they will NEVER touch it that will get the chop first.

This dude is giveing off some mad preacher vibes;

REPENT I SAY!!!! REPENT!!!! REJECT THE ARTIFICIAL DEVIL AND ALL HIS GROTESQUE WORKS!!!!
Alright I'm bored so I'll go down the top 20 jobs in America and see if they're in danger.
#1 Home Health and Personal Care Aides - Yeah no
#2 Retail salesperson: Still no
#3 Fast food workers: Still nope
#4 General and Operation Managers: Possible but probably not worth it for just one branch
#5 Cashiers: Still haven't been weeded out by computers, so not even close
#6 Registered Nurses: Nope
#7 Laborers and Freight, Stock, and Material Movers: Yeah 100% not gonna be a problem for them
#8 Customer Service Reps: More than likely for call center (Finally no jeets) but not as likely in person
#9 Stockers: Nope
#10 Office Clerks: Its possible for them to be in danger if its just computer and answering calls. The physical stuff is not going to be done by an AI. So I give it 30/70 in favor of people
#11 Janitors: Nope, not even close
#12 Waitstaff: Still nope
#13 Heavy Truck Drivers: Unless self driving cars can increase their efficiency exponentially in 5 years and include semis, I don't see it happening
#14 Secretaries: Yeah its possible if its just digital stuff, but again the physical items need to be taken care of.
#15 Software devs: I see AI definitely taking some of the jobs but not the entire industry. However, an AI is only going to have x-amount of data on codes, so people are a little safer on this one.
#16 Book keepers: Yeah its possible but yet again, filing and keeping physical items are a huge turn off for AI.
#17 Maintenance Workers: Nope
#18 First Line Supervisors: Physical stuff at plants and what not are 100% safe since most workers won't look at computers for long periods of time. It wouldn't be totally efficient for a single branch office so I'm going to go with no.
#19 Accountants: Yeah its possible
#20 Misc Assemblers and Fabricators: Absolutely not.

Of the top 20 jobs in "ebil kapitolist" America, the vast majority of workers are going to keep their jobs. Like many have said, yes this redditor is a massive retard. But the fact it said nothing will ever justify AI is also retarded. I've had to use AI on several issues because I didn't understand how to do something and I couldn't find a tutorial in english on how to do a simple task. It probably thinks that artists, coders, translators, and musicians take up 30% of the population when infact they probably make up less than 5%.
