Speaking of Nick receiving court correspondence, recall April’s traffic case. After she was charged with speeding, Nick filed a Certificate of Representation to the court, wherein he put down his PO Box as his mailing address.

As we know, that’s where his representation pretty much ended. When the hearing notice went out, Nick was cc’d.

Two weeks later, the notice was filed as Returned Mail from Nick’s address.

Depending on the post office and the type of mail, PO Box mail can be returned to the sender after 10-15 days if the owner doesn’t pick it up. It can also be sent back earlier than that if the box is full or if the owner stopped paying.
Nick and April didn’t show up to court, so she was sentenced. April’s sentencing order got returned to the court a couple of months later in the same fashion, just days before his arrest:

We know Nick still has this PO Box, so we can infer from this that Nick either stopped picking up his mail altogether, or his payment to the PO Box lapsed when he was strung out on drugs and the post office immediately sent it back. Either way, he didn’t pick up his mail. The letters from the bank telling him to pay his mortgage probably met the same fate...
…which brings me to the bodycam footage and the related legal notices. I suspect Nick will ignore the notice from the court and then act like he was improperly served in an attempt to complicate its release, even though I’m pretty sure it’s
his legal responsibility to keep his address up-to-date and pick up his own goddamn mail from the post office.
