I personally leans towards the former, because I don't believe he would go silent about the bodycam footage but he would if he was in genuine trouble. That would be quick turnaround for that test. Most agencies do not do the analysis on site (even big departments typically send it out). So it would be less likely to get a popped result back that quick.

If it was drug test related, I'd kind of guess that the phone call was informing him that his previous drug test came back positive for something and notifying him that he had to go in immediately for a follow-up drug test and/or meeting with his parole officer.
