well hes doing that now so im wondering why he waited so long and why hes bringing up "damage to mah brand". if anything that seems like something youd wanna avoid talking about publicly if youre a wholesome real wun who doesnt into drama.
really im just bringing this up because i noticed a lot of unwarranted asskissery itt. the rational thing to do is to assume everyone who would sign up for this event in the first place is a clout chaser or insane unless proven otherwise.
I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you haven't been watching LA Beast for a decade.
TLDR, The dude is a human golden retriever. He has managed to make the exact same videos, exactly the same way, since 2008 and retain his audience. He has also managed to stay out of any and all drama the whole time. Kevin is a legitimately good person without ulterior motives who just wants to challenge himself. That's why I assume he took part, and he just had a baby, so the money doesn't hurt at all.
Based on having watched Kevin do a ton of charity events and challenges, and his live streams, I can say he probably wants to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. He didn't want to stir up trouble until it was absolutely clear there was no recovery for anyone.
He's not an online personality in the same way we think of online personalities now. He's still a classic youtuber, just a dude making videos for people on YT. Now that he has wasted money, manpower, and time with his brand new son (not to mention this is the first bit of controversy he's ever had in his almost two decades of YT even though he has been a longstanding titan of YT, even being on Tosh.0 at one point) he's probably kind of pissed.

I really hope the California boxing commission rapes them. I wonder if they've even had time to get all the requisite licensing to hold a boxing event.
Honestly California is pretty fair (from what I've heard, I could be wrong and I probably am, I just know I heard it somewhere). Getting the approval to do an event has a lot of hopes to jump through, but Arin probably has some connections and, to be fair, moving the date was probably for taking that into consideration.

So it’s calling itself a for profit event, with a sprinkle of donations? Why have they ever called it an official charity, that was always a lie.

I’m confused, so what money is actually going to charity?

And does that mean that the account funds were essentially liquid assets to the Jomahs? Combining both charity funds and profits?

So, they really did steal from charity. Right? Am I reading this right?

You still can't criticize them though because they have a link to a fundraiser.

only the money from the fundraiser hasan promoted and the money from superchats or whatever is gonna be available on the official stream. according to the screencap exactly 0% of ticket and ppv revenue is going to charity. and theyre now calling this a feature and a good thing. :story:

This is the money going to charity. It's essentially a separate thing independent from the money made (if any) from CC3. You can just donate to it without giving any money to CC.

It's mostly the money from that one Hasan stream. Looks like Ian forked some over too.

The idubbbz money is from the shitty livestream they did where they just got drunk and punched a boxing bag, it's money from Ian's fans.
Ian himself gave 1000$ or so out of his own pocket, very charitable

For a group of people that care so much about these charities and use the "but it's for charity" excuse when you criticize the event they're barely actually giving anything to the charities themselves

This is something so many YouTubers and celebs do. They 'raise awareness' and then ask their fans to donate, when they could easily donate three times what their fans scrape together without missing a single fancy latté. Of all the YouTubers I watch there is only one I would ever consider donating to, because she almost always doubles whatever her fans raise for charity from her own funds.

It seems like LA Beast is calling out the Jomhas until their names get brought up directly. He wants to stay out of drama and not offend anyone, but the fighters should stop trying to dance around it and say it as it is.

Ian and Anisa are incompetent and screwed them over.

Hes being way to kind to them here, I get the position though. Ive never seen him get involved with drama before to my knowledge. But is it really getting involved if you say how badly Anus and her husband fucked up?

You've just figured out how charity works. Well done/
