its a GREAT read for any younger kids once they have the requisite ability to, its lighthearted but real, believable and likeable characters but not perfect ones much like real life.

As a young man reading it I will unironically say it made me feel connected to a larger world and sucked me in, By the end you REALLY care about the characters, you have a deeper appreciation for literature as an art form and at least on my end, I felt inspired. Its one of the highest selling series of all time for a reason.

There is no blue hairs that mog Harry for being a white straight male while being inexplicably better than everyone at magic, there is no heavyhanded allegory about British imperialism or the plight of the Irish (Opposite, single irish character keeps blowing himself up and thats pretty funny if you ask me), The one girl that is way better than most? Thats all earned, she is a social pariah for the first book and parts of the next 2 because she is such a know it all and ostracized herself.

Its the perfected storyline thats been done hamfistetly 1,000 times over of a young man who is at the end of his rope and just being treated like garbage when the world suddenly opens up far more then he could have ever realized and he is droped into a whole new realm of excitement and intrigue and he is the center of it all, every neglected young mans DREAM.

Books like that and Rangers Apprentice (IYKYK) build a sense of self for me that I carry on today, its SO important for young men to have strong aspirational figures in their development just like women. I weep for the generation of young men that have been brought up in the EXACT OPPOSITE, it must be painful beyond words.

Trump is winning the war. I think people forget its only been 4 months. Yes the system is pushing back. Trump wants to undo 100 years of corruption. This is to be expected. The fact he is having any victories shows he hasn't been buck broken by the system, quite the opposite, he is buck breaking the system. They shouldn't have taken that shot at Trump. He is Breaking Bad like Mistah White with nothing to fucking lose. And right now he's going after Gus (The System). He's going to fucking win, whatever it takes.
