Furry Convention Drama - Because you can't have a couple thousand dog fucking enthusiasts under the same roof without shit hitting the fan

Here is the Galactic Camp Weekend page on the USS Hornet website:

I pity any poor souls who unfortunately made the bad timing choice to visit the museum while it was hosting a furry convention.

I don't think I can string together a series of words that can describe the feeling I've felt when hearing "this is one of the coolest places I've ever gotten to change myself".
Like just seeing the "station" by itself, isn't as bad, at least there's a little bit of hope that people will have a semblance of respect and not use it. But to hear that it's not only already been used, but by the man behind the camera....
That's just straight up Peter Griffin holy shit
hey lois remember that time i changed my diaper at an apollo mission exhibit

I would also like to bring up several other things from their website that the museum staff would assumingly have been aware of.

From the event schedule(Archive) and panels page(Archive)

- Pup Play!
Stormy Kittyhawk

(18+) A panel for anyone and everyone interested in pet play! This is also great for handlers and the non-pets too!

- Bay Area Genderqueer Littles
Skye

(18+) A panel and hangout for any and all genderqueer littles to mingle and have fun together! Coloring supplies and legos will be available for the little ones to have fun with. Any littles that live in the SF Bay Area are also welcome to join our group for local activities and meetups!

- Writing Furry Erotica
Kit Silver

(18+) Time to let your inner beast off the leash! We'll sniff out what makes a sizzling Furry story work — from flirty fluff to full-on fur-on-fur action. Expect tips on writing chemistry, consent, and character-driven heat that'll have your readers howling for more. Bring your best puns and your thirst for craft!

- 3:00-4:00 - ABDL Meet n Greet (18+) - Babyfur Room
I also find this section from their code of conduct(Archive) hilarious considering their panels and behavior.

"we want to respect the staff and veteran volunteers of the USS Hornet; for many this is their first introduction to the Furry Fandom. Lastly it will be cold on the ship! Dress warm :)"

And reminder part of THIS TOOK PLACE DURING MEMORIAL DAY

"Remember there may be other guests in the Hornet who are not here for the con; they happened to show up Memorial Day weekend and found themselves at a furry con. There is also a ceremony Monday for families of vets.. Please remember that your behavior and appearance will be their first impression of the furry fandom."

20 years ago I did a little campaigning to have changing tables also in men's bathrooms. I think we can get rid of them now, my kids are grown.

And who does the changing? I can somewhat "get" that these degenerates get off on doing their business in a diaper, but the washing and changing of an adult obese man that probably eats a lot probably requires 2-3 nurses in a hospital setting, and I cannot fathom who would do that without hefty compensation.

How the hell did they convince the people running this aircraft carrier to allow an adult baby diaper changing station to be situated in one of their most important exhibits.
If I had to guess, they probably made it out to be some disability accommodation and the octogenarian volunteers running it were not even remotely woke to the furry menace.

There needs to be a "BURNING FURY WITH THE RAGE OF 1000 WHITE HOT SUNS" reaction. I cannot fathom turning a unique exhibit of American engineering and scientific history into your literal shitbox. These people need to die.

I’m a big space and aerospace aficionado. The fact the people running the museum even allowed this in the first place is absolutely abhorrent.

The fact ABDLs were allowed somewhere near or even on things that contributed to humanity’s accomplishment of landing men on the moon back in the 1960’s is an disgrace.

Shame be upon the museum. Shame.
