Eh, we don’t really know that’s it’s enough. Cocaine doesn’t absorb through the skin very readily, hence directing it to mucus membranes.Based on the results from the pillowcase, that poor kid was getting a dose every time she slept in there. If they were doing lines off the top of that fridge, I can guarantee you there was a microscopic little snowdrift at the base of that fridge, right where she played. Anyone who spent significant amount of time in that room would have tested hot afterwards. And in a little girl who wasn't taught personal hygiene and probably weighed about 50 lbs., that's enough for her to accidentally ingest enough cocaine to test hot as a weekend user.
Young kids have thinner skin, less likely to have callouses or accumulation of dead skin, so that’s in favor, but I just kinda have the hunch that it’s more likely her levels represent more like, touching cocaine and sticking her fingers in her mouth on an every day basis than sleeping on a pillow with trace amounts
I don’t think an 8 or 9 year old would snort something.
You also have to consider the ingested quantities involved with the “weekend user.”
Forgive the stock image, but this is what 1 gram would look like in terms of amount. It’s not really a small amount
