These young people refusing to deal with their animalistic, meat bag existence are so baffling to me.

I'm not surprised, the iphone launched 18 years ago, there are entire groups of kids who had been on smartphone for most or all of their conscious existence. Sure many of us had PCs as kids but it was dialup or early broadband and you had to go sit at home, it was far more limited. These kids have been watching brainrot slop thru their phones in class, at the schoolyard, in the ride to and back home, they are glued to this shit, why wouldn't something that warps their perception of reality also warp their physical self-perception?

Another curious effect I think it has is that rural people can now think they are switched on and sophisticated, without having to physically go to a city.
