You really don’t need to be greasing a probation officer to get permission to travel. I took a job with a company doing 20 trade shows a year, I was constantly out of state. After the first few times they no longer wanted me to fill out permission requests and just told me to call him and let him know when I’d be out of town. You being out of town is more convenient for them. They know it’s a week or longer where they may not have to check up on you or write up a violation (ie you won’t be getting arrested in town) and they won’t be getting a 3am call about you.

If you’re polite to probation officers and cooperative (even if you just give off that vibe on initially meeting) they’re usually pretty easy going for first offenders. Also, don’t be black. If you are black, try to remedy that before your first meeting.

I find it kind of sus when a recently self-confessed drug felon immediately wants to go to Las Vegas to distribute illegally obtained nearly revenge porn material and remember in LAS VEGAS of all places. And the worthless, useless, absolute joke of a probation officer is apparently totally okay with this.

Who the fuck is this "probation" officer and why is he even paying paid when he obviously isn't even doing his job, and just allowing the criminal he's supposedly monitoring to commit crimes every single day, openly, in public, literally on Internet streams. What the fuck?

There is an implicit assumption here that the boomers at the Sheriff's Department know how to really delete shit off a computer, and wouldn't just "delete but not realize the files containing the footage are in the Recycling Bin" or "delete but not really delete in such a way that a data recovery specialist could still rescue it".
