After a male close to me was diagnosed with a Cluster B disorder and started therapy for it, they informed me that the disorders are under-diagnosed in men. It’s like the baggage of psychiatric history, the belief these disorder predominantly affect women, similar to how women are under-diagnosed for ADHD. Learning how to reframe my relationship with them has been a trip, since they are truly conciliatory about the harm they’ve done to others because of their disordered behavior. Lots of what I’ve learned since then does give me the slightest sliver of hope for Balldo, because if this person I know can fix their life despite being severely Cluster B, it’s possible for others to do the same. Doubtful, but possible. The effect this one little jibe had on Nick was very telling, it's a reaction we see in the DeathFat boards, where earnest criticism from a non-hostile source gets used by the Lolcow as a cope to further their bad behaviour.
Can it be male B-Cluster Personality Disorder? Google says they are rare, but possible?
