Don't say that when the Den pickpockets exist.

It really didn't do it for me. I played Vice City first, so when I played GTA 3 I got less weapons, more primitive game mechanics, smaller map and awful, dreary atmosphere full of muted dark colors. Just compare that to VC and you can see my disappointment. It didn't help that Claude was a piece of cardboard compared to Tommy, same with other characters being a bit dry.
I prefer the Liberty City Stories spin-off which is the GTAIII world but with updated Vice-city mechanics, and an actual speaking protagonist. You can also tell the story was heavily influenced by The Sopranos.
Downside was it never received an official PC/Xbox port, and since its a prequel a lot of Liberty city is undeveloped.

What the fuck is this bullshit? For comparisons sake Cyberpunk is 84 gigs.

I noticed that I got GTA V Enhanced for free I guess for owning the original, so I downloaded it to see if it was worth anything.

It told me I hadn't been on GTA Online since 2023 which made me laugh. Then I was met with a shit ton of long loading sequences and after finally getting through one mission with someone, it hung up on another loading sequence.

I thought some random fixed this and got like 10k from Rockstar a few years ago? No wonder they (allegedly) delayed GTA VI a whole year just to get the Online perfect.

With the amount of bullshit flying around about VI, I will only take these claims seriously if it comes from Rockstar
I don't think the filesize will be far off 300gb. Remember for Max Payne 3 on the 360 they just said "fuck it" and released the game on two DVDs instead of compressing shit. It was a nice throwback to JRPGs on the PS1, but still a sign of excess.

What would take up more space: uncompressed textures or uncompressed sound files?

FWIW, it was pretty common at the end of the 360's lifespan to need two (or more FFXIII was 3) discs for AAA games. It wasn't just a Rockstar thing, DVDs just weren't big enough to support the games people were making by then.

Now, I think GTA 6 is probably gonna be ~200GB. RDR 2 is 120, so I'd expect it to be some amount bigger than that, but not more than double. 150GB may be a better estimate using RDR 2 as a benchmark.
