Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

"GOP is actually far-right". Everyone's heard this canard. But take a look at that: This was written nearly 20 years ago. They really repeat the same talking points every election.
When these types say "the rest of the world" they basically mean western/northern Europe and maybe Australia/NZ. The Republican party is not far right by the standards of the billion people living in Muslim countries, and not even really by eastern European standards. That's to say nothing of the politics of India, east Asia, or Africa, which don't easily map onto our western spectrum. These commenters think they're worldly but their perspective is still very narrow.

Besides, I would argue GOP is to the left of many European anti-immigrant populists. At least in the US the GOP pretends they're holding together a multiracial coalition of based minorities, while in Europe they're pushing white nationalism lite talking points. Granted, Trump did defend boers.
That "White genocide conspiracy theory" article is a real piece of work. Typical strawmanning and attacks on motives. E.g., we're told that the "purpose of the conspiracy theory" (as though an observation has a purpose) is to support "calls to violence" (not, say, policy changes), where that violence claim links to the "Accusation in a mirror" article, itself a word salad about hate speech.

This is what the admin (Alison) who locked the article looks like, by the way.

I would've said something (and quite a lot too), but I guess the saying is true: Pictures really are worth a thousand words.
Speaking of pictures, we're omitting the most important one here - the picture of the subject.

In no world is anyone taking a look at that face and saying "Woman". That's a man, man.

He's citing the Political Compass as proof, so I want to give a reminder of how ridiculously biased that website is. This is their official chart for the 2020 election:

About the Imane Khalif talk page, I noticed they're deflecting along the same lines of when Keffals was discovered to have misused his funds and the changes were reverted; bringing up the antiquated "RfC" bullshit once again when there is literally no mention of the New York Post or the Daily Telegraph being unreliable sources, resorting to an obviously biased impromptu vote to prevent any of the changes to the article as well as the usual far-left finger-pointing of misgendering and their own versions of conspiracy baiting (especially from the Hazbin Hotel-obsessed user Turtletennisfogwheat who gets away with the bullshit xey are pulling because the admins are biased in favor of them). One of the editors that was in favor of changing the article even said that Wikipedia is well-known for being unreliable on gender/sex articles :story:

Even after being called out, they double down and repeatedly deflect on the claims of themselves being biased. It just absolutely reeks of far-left bias brought on thanks to the bullshit of Jimmy Wales and especially the admins.
I don't know how you could make Bluesky and even Reddit look tame in comparison when it comes to reasoning, but Wikipedia with its political autism somehow has them both barely beat.

"Hello. I am Daniel Rigal. I was born in 1970 at Lambeth General Hospital (London, UK). Shortly afterwards it was shut down. I insist the two facts are not related and nobody can prove otherwise. My father was a Rabbi who collected fossils and had two websites (Exploring East London and Jewish Customs, both still online although no longer updated) and my mother just about put up with him. My brother, Gideon, is an animator, illustrator and ukulele player. He also has his own web site but he never updates it."

Yep he's a kike lol.

"I live in a flat in North Guildford with all my junk including about 250 vinyl records and a collapsed sofa. The local bus service runs once an hour. People in Guildford either think that is acceptable, or don’t care because they drive everywhere. The roof blew off once. That was not fun! Still, at least I paid off the mortgage."

All of this was archived by someone else months/years ago and his wordpress contains less personal details compared to the archive so I assume someone else looked into him at some point.

That specific collage? Probably a bad fetish. Imagery in general? Chloroform rags over the nose are a classic trope to knock somebody out, it wouldn't be too out of place to display a few notable scenes of said trope in play. That said, I think the TV Tropes page image for Instant Sedation would be less blatantly fetishistic as a demonstration, and I loathe the fact that I have to give TVT credit for something like this.

The editor who added that collage is a weeb who never edited chemistry articles before. It looks unserious imo.

Turkish Wikipedia has this image:

Copyright expired, non-fetishistic image that shows the trope just fine.

Chloroform rags are useless in real life.
Did you all know that one of the motives for the Nanjing Massacre was misogyny? It was something that totally happened, too.

There is discussion to be held on how treating rape as inherently sexist is horribly myopic. But the article mentions in the same box "20,000 falsely accused male civilians executed as soldiers". Since they don't list misandry as motive for the Srebrenica massacre, I guess this could be filed under "women are the primary victims of war" slop.
