I remember when I first started going to Pride parades back around 2009. It was just a fun block party where everyone drank and had a good time. Besides the drinking, it was pretty respectable and PG-rated.

I missed several years until around 2016 I went to one and started noticing a whole lot different flags being waved around besides the rainbow, mostly what I would learn were trans flags. And I saw lots of people wearing these weird leather dog masks. There was still a lot of drinking and general partying, but the level of lewd behavior on display was noticeably way beyond PG despite the fact that people brought kids.

I think when Pride went from being a gay only thing is when it all started to go downhill. Pride parades used to be about celebrating equal rights for gays, to now being a celebration of degeneracy. Pride parades now represent sinful pride.

From the lesbian perspective: just am and kinda always have been since I can remember. I like the way women's personalities are and how they look. I'm not even really into butches since they're too masculine for me. I like having a partner that also feels like my best friend. Before I learned that gay had a word, I remember really disliking the idea of marrying a man and wanting to live with my female best friend forever. I was really disappointed to find out people typically didn't do that with the same sex and that I was the weird one. I don't really find anything attractive about men. Even if I had forced myself to be straight, a man would be absolutely miserable in a relationship with me. My sexuality realization came far before all the LGBTQ+ stuff was being pushed in media.

I've never attended a pride parade nor care to act like I'm a stunning and brave spectacle in general. On occasion, I go to the local gay club just because they have a cheap unlimited drink night.

I can only speak from the female perspective. Female sexuality and male sexuality are different in a lot of ways. Females are less into porn in general than men, and I'd say from my own experiences that lesbians are probably even less into porn than straight women are. Bisexuals though I've noticed on average do tend to be really kinky and into hookups/porn, or at least the loud bisexuals are. But most lesbians I've met agree with me that sex is one of the least important aspects of a relationship for us, and we can and often do go long lengths without it. If I had a wife who got into a terrible accident to where she could never have sex with me again, but I still enjoyed waking up to her every day, then it wouldn't really affect me at all negatively. I'm personally really grossed out by porn addicts and fetishists, and I find that kind of stuff to be immoral and unhealthy.


I'm sure I'll probably be quoted by someone to say that they know a lesbian and all of this is wrong, or that they knew a super mega dyke who became the perfect tradwife. There's a lot of fake lesbians out there, some of which are just women who swear off men after a bad ex-boyfriend. Real lesbians are definitely a lot less common. Wife and I were watching a show yesterday and it got to a part where a character learned that his life was basically a complete and total lie, like one day he's a regular teen going to high school, and the next day he learns that his father was helping feed dead bodies to a monster god, that his family has been doing this for several hundred years, his sister knew the whole time, his mom had actually been replaced with a monster, and the father had been planning to kill the entire family and turn them into monsters. Also as a last fuck you, monsters literally erased all of the shit in their house, so he now also owns nothing.

So as we see the character come to this realization I say to my wife,
"Damn, wtf are you supposed to do when you learn your entire life was a lie like this?"

My wife immediately responds with:

I'm a lesbian but I never understood why pride parades had to be so degenerate. In my younger days I used to get into a lot of arguments because I thought it was disgusting that the open fetish shit was just put on display for every man, woman, and child to see.
