Interviewer: So, let's talk a little bit about uh the fire. Let's talk about what happened and how that impacted Jonathan. So, tell me tell me about that time. And I know that's a really fresh wound.
Johnathan: So, when I got beat up, huh? By punks.
I: No, no, no. I'm talking about the fire the fire.
J: Oh, MAN! Yeah. God damn. Yeah.
I: Let's talk about that.
J: My ex-wife is involved with San Antonio real estate. Okay. And she was kind of messing with me.
Because I've been in mental wards and stuff, the courts don't believe me when I tell them things are happening.
But my house got burned down. They could not rule out arson. I didn't have any electricity. I had a little fire going in the house. My husband and I put it out. And we left to get lunch, and we came back, and the house was burned down.
Our three dogs died in the fire.
My closest friend said, "Jonathan, we know you set that fire, fire, fire, fire, fire. We know you did it for the money, money, money, money."
I said, "Guys, my dogs, dogs, dogs, were there. I would never hurt my dogs. I would never light my dogs on fire.
That's why I shot the little fuckers and THEN I burned the house down."
I: *laughs*
J: So my neighbors now are really scared.
Um, so the impact is, for the first time at 60 years old, I don't have a goddamn thing to worry about other than the man I want to worry about. Sometimes [having] nothing can be a real cool hand. Enjoy the change. Have a good partner.
