From the ceiling bird to the chicken washing this video is simply perfect. Now I could barely make out what she was saying though the thing that bothers me the most (aside from the standard behavior) Is the precut vegetables. She said it was pepper and onions, which takes maybe a minute to dice. It's cheaper, fresher and with practice you can roughly chop up so vegetables in seconds this prechopped, shredded nonsense really irritates me.

the speech is honestly the hilarious part, i watched this muted at first because i rarely wanna hear attention posters online blab on video, but this convinced me to rewatch with the sound on and it's actually comedic
it's like the idea of words, it's what i imagine normal speech sounds like when you're high as a kite, just a vague simulacra of verbal communication
it sounds like if you gave someone who doesn't speak english a transcript written phonetically in their native language to read, but it has no punctuation or spaces, AND the person just had surgery done on their teeth, their face is still numb and their jaw doesn't close fully so they can't articulate the last syllable of any word
just a string of "so ah makin sum smothapotato an sum ah bae chickeh an sum broccoeh ah cheee..."

it can be explained by the way she then handles the chicken, smearing it's juices all over her kitchen and every giant container of condiments that she likely buys based entirely on color
she's not cleaning, she's performing cleanliness, she "knows" chicken is "dirty" because she has been taught that, but doesn't know how, she doesn't understand germs or viruses but rather 'dirty' as the the simple state of being, the state that things are in before they're cleaned
she knows dirty things are cleaned with chemicals and she believes doing the same to the chicken turns it clean, it's clean now, you can handle it
it's a ritual with a purpose she doesn't understand

The only cultures that are still washing meat are those where wet markets are common. If I had to buy my meat from a shady street seller that scratched his balls before cutting the meat on a dirty cutting board, I’d wash it too.

I imagine this old habit simply persisted among blacks in the US and was never questioned. They also had access to mostly lower quality meat and cuts like organ meat, which can get a funky smell if not thoroughly washed over and over. Low quality meat that nearing its best-by date can also get a bit slimey and develop off flavors, which, while not dangerous, can be unpleasant to handle. Washing it usually gets rid of it and may give people they illusion that the meat is safer to eat.

its kind of disturbing how black people will consume such high-fat shit and then try to empower it in the name of "culture." and then the black women will go around claiming their obesity from said food as "thickness."

But god forbid someone just puts only salt and pepper on a certian food/meat.

i'm sure it's been said before, but it's not even really fat, it's mostly oil
same as the cheese in their mac n cheese isn't cheese, it's artificial (mostly oil), the butter isn't butter, it's margarine (mostly oil), and as it turns out even some of the DRINKS have oil in them... although that's less of a black person issue and more of an industrial horror in general

Surprisingly, they look at least rinsed. Couldn't tell you if they were actually scrubbed though. End result looks awfully brown.

Just scrub your potatoes with a dedicated non-scratch scouring pad to get the dirt loose, then boil the absolute shit out of them. It's not complex.
