Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

A slight update on that local house: my partner went out there back before he ever had a cellphone but the IDs ran from the 80s to the 2000s. He does remember purses and wallets too, but as they rode bikes out there (it's on a rural road that runs parallel to a highway) they never took anything.
I did take part of an old magazine from the 60s when i saw the place, it was in the garage. It's all knitting patterns, if i can find it I'll share a pic. Obviously from a previous owner.
The place it being used to store bees now, he's been by it recently.

Another local mystery: an old car, possibly 1920s-1950s, that hit a tree or something and wrapped around it. We found a frame, the chrome bumper, and an engine half buried in massive anthill. A tree has grown through the area on it where it wrapped and i wonder what it hit, although it could be the same tree (just stunted from damage). No one ever knew about it until we were snooping on an old property that the fire department wants to use for training, since we wanted to see if there was anything worth claiming.
I can actually get pics of that one if i can get back there. The old property sadly was wreckes by kids but is also pretty intact inside, there's still dishes in the cabinets and an old piano.

I do a lot of hill walking over here in Bongland and you can find car wrecks in weird places.

Dickheads in the country steal them, take them for a joyride, and wreck them somewhere that is too expensive to move and easier to just leave.

The older the car the easier it was to steal.

I'm actually related to one of the murdered people mentioned in this thread, but I'm not going to say which one since posting doxable information about yourself is frowned upon here. I never actually met them or their family and I'm not from the area where they lived.

One last mystery from me (unless you want to hear about both times child me was almost abducted, or when i assumed i was hearing a ghost but it was most likely a break-in):

In 2012, during the school year (it was probably fall) i woke up at like, 1am with a crazy burning pain on my right arm, just above the elbow. There were 5 red bumps, and they felt like burns. I immediately scratched at them, then rinsed it under the sink which made the burning stop. I went to bed, since i was home alone and my mother liked to leave her cellphone home so i didn't have anyone to contact.
The next morning, the bumps were now high domed and had gone yellowish. They were each maybe a 1/4" or less across. They were in roughly a straight line, except a slightly smaller mark on one end of it that was down a little. I bandaged them and went to school.
It was about a week before an adult noticed these (they itched like hell and eventually i ran out of bandaids).
The doctor said they were spider bites. Apparently spiders bite over and over? Made no sense.
Eventually the domed parts fell off, the marks being hollow inside, and they scarred. They still itched for like, 2 years.
I still have them now. Each one is a circle (although they have blurred with time) with 5 dots: 4 at each quarter, and 1 in the center. On one, the dots looks more like small circles.
Weirdly, about a month after this my older sister got a mark too.
My mom claims my sister did this to me but she wasn't even home that night.
I've never figured out what caused this but hey, it's a weird mystery.
The whole week leading up to this i had crazy, super detailed nightmares too, although i don't remember a lot about them anymore.
Edited to add a picture. The scars are old but you can still make out 3 of them.

Jacob Wetterling
How'd she get to there from here?
His mother, Patty Wetterling, told television station KARE11, a local NBC affiliate, that the remains found were indeed Jacob's. She said: "All I can confirm is that Jacob has been found and our hearts are broken. I am not responding to any media yet as I have no words."

Just found out that the son of actress Mercedes McCambridge of The Exorcist and Johnny Guitar fame, killed himself and his entire family in 1987. He had been involved in some kind of fraud, and apparently asked his mother for help regarding it. She refused so he bought several guns and went about murdering his wife and two daughters before turning the gun on himself.

Yeah, I can take a hint from all the negative responses I got from that post, I just couldn't resist, having your relatives mentioned on the farms isn't something that happens every day for most people.
there's occasions there's been something where I was actually pretty close to the people involved and I've had to just keep on scrolling, so I understand

unrelated back to personal body horror mystery, one time I dug this weird nodule out of my calve
like, pretty small, like half a cubic CM, but basically a tiny thing of that weird crap the chick in The Substance pulled out of her bellybutton
I was quite concerned about this given my already existing paranoia about saucermen. I filled the hole up with neosporin and bandaged it and started figuring ways to track ayyys up in my business
then a couple of weeks later I dug a similar lump out of my leg again in the same spot

the original injury that warranted the initial lump of encrustulated neosporin remains uncertain, probably a giant slash from a palmetto bush I took around there as a kid
but yeah it was just some old crap in my leg from humans

Police are searching around yet again for Madeline McCann. What are everyone's theories about what happened to her? I always thought the parents had something to do with it. Who leaves the kids unoccupied whilst you go out to dinner?
All questions answered by the phrase "wealthy English drunks". No mystery IMO. Just a tragic occurence that seems freakish to those unfamiliar with the gestalt of upper-class negligence in the context of the UK's (but let's be real, specifically England's) anti-child culture. Source: I'm not bitter, shut up.

I'm pretty sure that the current theory is that she was kidnapped and murdered by a German pedophile responsible for doing the same thing to two other children, one in Germany and another in another part of Portugal.

Here is a wholesome case. On Unsolved Mysteries a man named Jim was looking for the nurse who saved his life in Vietnam. Her name is Linda Sharp and they were reunited in 1990. Both are alive and well. Linda continues to give talks about her experiences as a nurse and about Jim.

Remember the infamous Rain Man segment? Its taken a sharp turn off course. Bet you didn't expect criminal charges!

And in one of the more terrifying segments, there's the Boston Mall Rapist. It was not included on the remastered segments because it was mistakenly thought the statute of limitations on the case had expired. (This is the one where each victim is interviewed in blacklight and the voices are digitally altered to protect their identity. The voices still creep me out honestly. And the police sketches I remember were frightening. Anyway DNA identify him years later and he's been arranged. He has pled not guilty.
