Nick literally has a bad vibe. Many women have a sixth sense about this shit. You have to to survive. He has creep vibes for sure. Funny enough I didn't really get those vibes from ralph when I saw him, I just got honestly sad and pitying when I saw how much weight he had lost and his bald spot and how grey he is. mostly just a trashy stay clear kind of vibe like you would seeing anyone like that.
You got a bad vibe from Nick, but not Ralph?

God DAMN. That says a lot about Nick.

Anyway, Nick would never have Heemeyer's guts.
From what I recall of that story, Heemeyer was a pretty handy guy who built Killdozer himself in a garage.

Nick can't replace the doors on the cabinet under his sink.

Nick ain't building Killdozer.

Nick? I think it's still about being non-neurotypical, he has shifty mannerisms and words of a liar, and he escalates to verbal cruelty quickly. All of what I said also makes socially observant men hate him I should add, PPP in particular I've noticed is viscerally put off by him. It's why he clocked his routine long before anyone else.

Nick’s a narcissist and a sociopath. Anyone who’s had the displeasure to deal with these people can sense it because all narcs are cookie-cutter. It’s actually really disturbing if you run into them in-person more than once.

When he had his mask, though, he had a superficial charm that could fool most people. Lots of people still saw him and instantly felt something off, though. Including K, since she saw him during his early days and instantly felt something was wrong with him. It’s probably why he seethes at her so hard, none of his “charm” works on someone who’s seen behind the mask.

Unlike Rackets, I think Ralph can actually introspect and feel bad about his actions. He just tries to drown that with booze and Xanax. This makes him inherently a little better than Nick, but not much since Ralph still chooses to be a terrible person.

They’re almost pitiable, but both Rackets and Ralph will use any pity as a cudgel, so they deserve none.

I often say it's like they all take the same "How to be a Shitty Person" class. All the same behaviors. It is very unsettling.

Though I firmly believe Nick has invited actual demonic presence into his family. Me being a Christian who actually acknowledges the divinity of Christ. Pretty funny and weird of me.

Now that we have a pretty solid timeline of what happened, one of the most interesting things to me is that there is someone in the courthouse who contacted Nick to let him know somebody was viewing the bodycam. I think Katie Bloch just thought this was business as usual and was just doing her job like normal since she was very kind at the beginning, but when she returned, she was clearly rattled and her demanor had completely shifted. I'd wager dollars to donuts that whoever called Nick, or someone in the court reprimanded her with a veiled threat like, "These are the kind of mistakes that can get us in trouble. These are the kind of mistakes someone could lose their job over." I guaran-fuckin-tee it. I also think that there are probably even worse things on the parts they didn't get to watch, or the parts that had technical difficulties. When Nick learned that someone was viewing the footage, there was palpable fear and sadness on his face. He looked like he was about to cry. I think there are probably some worse things than his shithole Hooverville on the complete footage, and he thought it would be seen and come out. That's what he had to "remedy". And by "driving my kid", he meant frantically calling Mommy, Frank White, and people at the court to shriek at them to do whatever they can to make this go away. I agree with Meme Copium that it feels like the dam is about to break, and a bunch of horrible shit will just come out. At some point we could very well have Nick trying to explain away and minimize bruises or other injuries on his kids. I've learned by now, with Nick Rekieta, it ALWAYS gets worse than we imagined.

Like I said earlier, Ralph's persona is a trauma construct. I don't say that to pity him but to point out that it's self-defensive. Note that his mistreatment of women often centers around resisting or reacting to rejection, real or perceived. He's not a narcissist like Nick, just an extremely maladjusted man who has greatly exasperated his pain with substance abuse and the resulting isolation. Ralph is a genuine tragic figure because unlike Nick he had very little chance to be anything but what he is. I think PPP said a while back that underneath the bravado Ralph is still the scared little boy that Ronnie molested and it really gave me pause.

Didn't see this posted. Rekieta reveals that his new plan for the Montagraph case is to use MN's new anti-SLAPP law which took effect last year.

This is supported by the fact that both sides in the case agreed to extend the deadlines associated with the new anti-SLAPP

There appears to be an obvious problem with this otherwise genius strategy which is that the new anti-SLAPP explicitly excludes actions brought before May 25, 2024. This is the day after Nick got out of jail following his drug binge brought on by losing his interlocutory appeal for this case.... I'm not sure how he thinks this new statute can help him.

You are missing that "spiritual not religious" is a fairly common phrase. It means she believes in a higher power, but doesn't adhere to any specific religion.

She is permitted to do that in these United States of America.
Okay? I didn't see anyone post the actual reason for PPP's reaction to the "spiritual" comment so I thought that would be a good opportunity to clarify why he reacted that way. I didn't say she should be arrested, calm down.

Ralph acknowledges he has addiction issues and occasionally tries (and fails) to get help. He's also an open book. You can immediately tell what he is and that you should avoid him.

Nick doubles down that he's innocent, drugs aren't a big deal, he did nothing wrong, and that everyone who thinks he's a bad guy should be killed. He's also a snake that will try to manipulate you first.

It's a faith stereotype essentially.

Short answer: It's the religious equivalent of a horse girl.

Slightly longer answer: Most people who say that tend to be the type who are going to do whatever they want anyway and apply some kind of vague spiritual meaning to it. I think PPP knows that and was about to chuckle over it.

For what little its worth, Nick didn't lose his "MTD" in the Montagraph case on a "novel issue" related to law. He just lost his MTD and then he lost a longshot appeal trying to apply Colorado's anti-SLAPP Law in Minnesota.

And based on what the judge did, even with an anti-SLAPP law on the books and applying to Nick's case, the likelihood of Nick successfully getting an anti-SLAPP in the case was just about zero. Nick would know all this if he bothered to actually read any of the papers associated with his case.

I thought I could see retarded grifters from a mile away, Rekieta proved me wrong, use him as a lesson.
It's more that I should have damn well known better. Identifying a weakness that was 100% preventable.

>Nick is probably a good Sunday school teacher right?
He was kicked out for telling the kids jesus was just a regular dude who sinned

>Nick isn't drinking too much, its just a stream time thing right?
Turns out he's a raging alcoholic who drives his kids around plastered

>Nick's still trad even though he drinks right?
Turns out he went hedonism

>Going to hedonism doesn't mean he's a swinger right?
Turns out he was in an omnisexual polycule with a smalltime local DJ, his wife and a some woman half of everyone else's age

>Nick's just a drunk, he's not into hard drugs right?
Turns out he was buying ounces of cocaine to fuel his half gay orgies along with meth, ketamine and MDMA

>Nick's gonna turn it around and stay sober right
Turns out he's huffing duster

>Lots of lawyers do coke, he's responsible with it right?
Turns out he left them around in the open and his daughter tested as a daily user

>Yeah I heard it was dirty, but that bodycam can't be as bad as everyone's imagination right?
Turns out he has his mothers pills in his possession

The thing that makes Nick so different from any lolcow is that whatever the controversy is, the reality is always much worse than anyone was even speculating.

He's like a roulette wheel that only lands on double zero.

I, too, have some pity for Ralph. It's a shred the size of fiberglass, but it's there, nonetheless. Clearly some deep, dark things happened to Ralph that he's trying to beat off with rage, pills, and booze. Ralph's aura reeks of lower middle class dysfunction and downward mobility (and tortas). Nick was not set up for failure like Ralph. Nick is intentionally, consciously perverse, and quickly became a libertine with his newfound riches. I do not excuse Ralph - but it explains a lot of his behavior. Whatever happened to him, I wish it didn't. I am sad for him.

I'm still trying to suss out Nick's parents. Coddling him, even into his forties, is obviously part of why he is what he is, but why care so much about their sex life? No one with a normal upbringing wants to have sexual discussions (beyond the birds and the bees) with their mom and dad. Sorry. If Nick admitted to watching incest porn, I probably wouldn't bat an eyelash.

In fairness he was very drunk and high on cocaine for a year or so. Can't expect him to read long legal documents.

I’ve been reading the comments on his X account and I just don’t understand all these people who seem to agree he needs to stay say from people like Mamma K. These people who still support him , some are just delusional. Like, how could anyone think she is stalking him?

Those people are probably all Nick. Maybe he realized he’s issued enough death threats for her to get a restraining order against him, so is trying to get in first or convince the court of public opinion or whatever.

They’re all either delusional or identify with Nick way more than they’d ever want to admit publicly. For example, people who get wasted around their kids, force their kids to live in squalor, cheat on their spouse, etc. — and need to feel like that is all very normal. Anyone running D for Rekieta probably belongs on a list.

It's people being purposefully obtuse, anybody who's spent time around people knows what she means. Sometimes you get a gut feeling that somebody is a piece of shit, an instinct that they're dangerous, that you shouldn't be near them. That's part of human evolution.

Given K's personal history with addicts and alcoholics and abusers, it's not surprising that she had that reaction to him.
Some military bro told me once that when you have a feeling about something, it's for a reason. Maybe you unconsciously noticed something, maybe there's some pattern you haven't realized you recognized yet, maybe it's body language. But I've had those 'vibes' before about situations or people, and it's been right with surprising accuracy.
