Actor Jonathan Joss — best known for his voice work on the iconic animated TV comedy “King of Hill” was shot dead by a neighbor in Texas, according to a report.

Joss, who voiced “John Redcorn” on the long-running cartoon, got into a argument with the neighbor at his home in San Antonio Sunday night when the neighbor pulled out a gun and shot him several times, according to police.

The unnamed gunman then fled the scene in a vehicle but was arrested by police just a block from the residence.

There is no satisfying these people, but they will provide plenty of flaming hoops for you to jump through in the attempt, and this is one.

It's like pooner knows enough to grasp that this is something people say to their dying loved ones, but doesn't realize that it's something you might say like, after a long terminal illness when you've accepted that there's no hope of recovery. Not after a sudden shooting.

She isn't just a liar, she's a liar who doesn't understand how humans work and is pulling all her knowledge from jumbled memories of fanfiction and Tumblr memes.

Frankly i'm surprised shes not getting more pushback both cause of the nonsensical story and contradictions but because the guy is on video both nearly burning his house down and ranting like a loon about deporting mexicans and waving around the dog headed pitchfork. He's acting exactly like somebody who is a few wrong words away from a self defense shooting

If there's pushback it's not visible. Too many of the people believing the story have isolated themselves on places like Bluesky, where anyone who doesn't consistently support the narrative is already blocked. And because people are deprived of enemies in these spaces, they're over-eager to turn on and eviscerate anyone in the space who breaks rank.

On the odd chance someone sees that pitchfork video they'll just pretend they never watched it, or convince themselves it was normal behavior ("of course he was waving around a skull on a pitchfork, he was dealing with bigoted homophobia!"). Is it really worth losing all your friends over?

He became very difficult to follow. Lots of rambling videos, sometimes with entirely missing audio. Tristian never said much in the videos, and seemed visibly autistic, their relationship seemed gross and questionable.

Jonathan's main source of income seemed to be selling spice mixes until he lost all the spices in the house fire.



He and Tristian were obviously living rough after the fire. It seemed in recent months even before the ATX Panel that his regular cons were cutting ties with Joss, he was agitated about it. Years ago he was very much beloved at these cons.

He would post his phone number constantly on FB to fans, he couldn't figure out messenger and would ask them to call him to continue chatting, sell his spices, wacky business ideas etc. He would ask to bum lifts from his fans, like he did the day he died. Just two years ago Jonathan was still married to a cisgender woman, Laurie Park. She is a San Antonio realtor, and he frequently accused her of abusing her realtor powers to shut off his power, blaming her for why he had to use the grill to heat indoors, and therefore making him cause the fire.

She left him after 3 years of unemployment caused him to spiral into drug abuse. I have also seen claims she is the only reason the house wasn't foreclosed on sooner.

That said her talking like that and obviously making shit up might get her asspats on the internet but it'll make the cops raise a few eyebrows, especially as they have already low key called her out publicly on the hate crime nonsense. She's not doing her story any favors legally by talking like this constantly. Not to mention the way she goes on about telling him to 'cross over' makes it sound like she actually wanted him to die, and given how she's behaved since I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this is exactly the case so she could use it to her own benefit. Textbook cluster B sociopathic shit. Also makes me wonder if this entire situation was actually deliberate on her part. I don't mean in a pre-arranged murder or anything, more in the sense that she deliberately pissed the shooter off expecting this outcome, wanting him to get violent and knowing joss would stupidly step in and get killed for it. After all, despite the looney behavior and cop incidents, by all accounts it was her the shooter lost his shit on and joss only got killed cause he intervened. I've known a couple BPDs that would absolutely plot that kind of manipulative narcissistic shit and would have been more than willing to do such a thing if the opportunity presented itself

She's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Given what a raging Cluster B shitshow she is, I expect her to bask in all the attention she gets, and spend a long while keeping the "Jonathan Joss was killed just for existing while gay, send me, his widower, your pitybux," narrative going. She has no other means of earning a living presently, and is likely too unstable to get and hold a job, so the Victim of Homophobic Hate Crime grift awaits her.

As an aside, the posts by Joss's ex-wife are so goddamned sad. His more recent posts, while in the grip of his addictions, made him come off as totally shifty and full of petty schemes, but before he fell apart he was apparently a decent guy with people who loved him. That's just heartbreaking.
