It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

It's fun to see the media in this mess.

The Media’s Catch-22: Exposing Joe Biden Would Have Assured Trump’s Re-election

By Steve McCann

The legacy media finds itself in a dilemma of its own making. The depth and seriousness of Joe Biden’s mental and physical problems during his presidency are being exposed daily—ironically, much of it by the denizens of the legacy media as they feverishly attempt to absolve their culpability in keeping the American people in the dark about Biden’s unfolding mental and physical infirmities as well as what was really happening in the Oval Office. The net result of this disingenuous mea culpa will accelerate the already record downward spiral in the citizenry’s trust in the media.

During the 2020 campaign, it became increasingly obvious to anyone without an anti-Trump agenda that Biden was not mentally or physically capable of being President. But the legacy media, wallowing in its Trump Derangement Syndrome, made a fatal decision in choosing to obfuscate not only his mental and physical incapacities but his fifty-year history of corruption and mendacity.

Thereafter, the legacy media found itself in a quandary during Biden’s presidency. How were they to avoid looking like partisan prostitutes if they started asking the obvious questions about Biden’s cognitive ability to be president while continuing to downplay Joe Biden’s corruption and failures?

A man carjacked an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department bucket truck early Wednesday morning while a sheriff’s deputy was precariously positioned high above the ground in the bucket, authorities said.

The man conducted a takeover of a 2011 Ford F550 utility bucket truck on the corner of Spring and Temple streets around 5 a.m. while two deputies were in the vehicle, according to a department bulletin. A deputy received minor injuries during a struggle with the carjacker and was treated at a hospital, according to a department statement.

The suspect was later identified as Mark Arriola, 36, and arrested on suspicion of carjacking, according to a department statement.

A bucket truck, also known as a cherry picker, is a vehicle equipped with a hydraulic lift system and an extendable arm that ends in a bucket where a person can stand. It’s used to lift workers to hard-to-reach areas.

Two undercover deputies were using the truck to remove concealed cameras when a man jumped into the vehicle, said he had to go to the hospital and began to drive away, law enforcement sources told The Times.

When the carjacking took place, one of the deputies was elevated in the bucket.

The other deputy, in the passenger seat, realized his colleague was in danger and was able to lower the bucket, allowing his partner to jump from the truck. The second deputy then also jumped from the truck, according to law enforcement sources.

The vehicle was later recovered in Gardena in the 14900 block of South Western Avenue, according to a department statement.

Detectives’ information led them to a residence just around the corner in the 1700 block of West 150th Street, according to a department statement. The suspect was identified as Arriola and detained during a traffic stop. Detectives served a search warrant at Arriola’s residence later that evening and recovered evidence linking him to the crime.

He has since been released on bond and his case will be presented to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration, according to a department statement. Under California law, carjacking is a felony punishable by three, five or nine years in prison.

I was going to make a snarky fusion now perpetually 25 years away instead of 30 comment, but decided to at least read the article first.

MSN deboonked it for me. I found the same article elsewhere. Unsurprisingly there was no discussion of input power required, so I'm going to assume it's still astronomical compared to output.
