That's a huge part of what fascinates me about older games, the attitude where they're just trying absolutely whatever all the way down to the code. You don't see interesting glitches, underlying technical construction, or cut content as much anymore with newer games. Crazy stuff like arbitrary code execution or the stop 'n swap thing are incredible compared to modern bugs like "oh, the multiplayer lags because the game was rushed". It is such a shame that the fan communities for the technical aspects of retro games are full of such deranged people.

All sites of archival and documentation are essentially all pozzed now. Nerds became trannies and trannies are the plague of any group. Plus jannies are almost always unbearable autists who power trip. Wikipedia is probably the best example. Gamergate's article is still so raped, even a decade later lmao. This really doesn't surprise me. I'd imagine in this current year you will struggle to find a community of archival (an autist's endeavor) that hasn't been compromised like this. Sadly, the days of helpful, normal nerds is long gone.
