Media depicting rape like this both sensationalizes and demeans real rape which maybe is why "the raped" is so funny to me nowadays. The only time I've seen it depicted accurately and to a point that I'd turn away or skip is Dr. Melfi in the Sopranos. It had real story implications and was a test of Melfi's character, what does raping the dyke deer imply in this story? Is this Toby's fantasy after seeing his fans froth at the mouth for lesbians? We may never know.
