My theory is that Ralsei IS the headband and Kris lost it inside the bunker some time ago. Him being a special Darkner who doesn't turn to stone and can freely travel between dark worlds is due to some special property from the bunker.

Or a special property from being made by a human, maybe? Monsters still turn to dust like they do in Undertale, so I imagine there’s something to humanity being more “real” just like in that game.

My crack theory is that monsters in general are a byproduct of whatever event made whoever wrote the prophesy aware of how Titans worked, ie. they’re Darkners that got ejected into the real world at some point in the distant past, and Ralsei is an example of the more capable darkners that humans make/made.

I mean given how small the town is it's entirely possible that's not actually the mayoral mansion and is legit just her house. The fact their entire police department is 2 people doesn't exactly make me think the town is rolling in enough tax money to blow on anything more than a town hall.

(Also, while most mayoral terms are between 2 and 6 years and we have no idea how long she's been in office it could also be a lifetime gig for all we know.)
