Sam Hyde

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
My weekend started early so let me word it more eloquently.
The Sam Hyde dad advice shit annoys me, as he routinely gives bad advice that he obviously doesn't follow. Such golden tidbits as you should never play games, watch anime, or be happy were all empty statements pulled from nowhere but his giant hrt head. He has routinely showed he himself does not follow this advice he gives to his fatherless viewers, and exposes himself as a faggy rich-family art kid.
I'm aware the sentiments have been shared on multiple occasions in the thread before, I just find the hypocrisy obnoxious when he starts gushing about shit that he directed his viewers to never intake.
Your obviously a coomer and need to kill you’reself too

saying happiness is for women and children is like.....dude just go to a therapist or kys idk....like, go talk to your dad LOL

Sam has always had a repeated tendency to do "masculine posturing", at least, throughout his time from HydeWars and onward, doing unnecessary, "extra" things for the sake of moral satisfaction.

For example, Sam at multiple times stated that he approaches filmmaking with a "blue-collar attitude" and treats comedy like a 9-5, which I find kind of unnecessary given his literal position as a self-employed YouTuber. He also does things like write all of his notes in a written notebook as opposed to taking it down on his phone, because using your phone would mean that "you're like a Target employee"

So yeah. In some ways, Sam isn't that much better than the gurus he criticizes. That said, he still gives practical advice a lot of the time, but approach a third of what he says with a degree of caution.

Since forever. It's a fundamental part of who he is. He used to post straight up manosohere stuff on Reddit and talked about the importance of working out and getting strong. The Bug Sports videos have to be at least fifteen years old and he was heavy into working out back then. Actually it has to be even earlier, back when he was doing the Pony Game troll thing. That's when he told idubbz he needs to squat 200lbs below parallel to have the copyright strike removed. He was still preaching the same stuff back then. I think he knows he isn't that much different than the "gurus" he criticizes but he maintains a sense of humor and healthy dose of cynicism becaus he can't take it seriously. He hates the police, military and what I guess could be described as masculine patriotic tropes. He is most definitely a far right guy so of course he's going to criticize Republicans and "patriot" larpers who don't actually stand up for anything, which describes most of those faggy gurus.

I wouldn't call it posturing though. Posturing implies fake. Even the biggest fags alive like Ethan Klein have recently admitted that whatever he's doing has been working. To use the terminology of the alt-right: he hasn't cucked once and never will. He obviously stands for something.

He’s talking about work ethic and the creative process, more specifically how he ensures that he doesn’t get bogged down in perfectionism and continues to make sure he consistently outputs and finishes projects. You may think it’s unnecessary, but if it’s how his brain works and it gets results, who are you to judge?

He goes way further than that, in a manner that's clearly irrational. Like I said, he's talked about treating comedy as a "blue-collar job", which is an illogical mindset that leads to high-production content which produces little payout, or the same payout as lower-production content.

Relatedly, he's talked about the "necessity" of spending lots of money on equipment to make your projects successful (which is why he goes after people who buy Blue Yeti microphones), basically advocating for wasteful expenditure and ignoring any solutions that are more cost-efficient.

Happy World Daddy, Mondo Megabits, Bill Griefer, The Great War and a lot of the higher production stuff was discontinued/disregarded because of Sam's extreme, "high-effort and high-investment = guaranteed success" mindset; the high-effort lead to burnout, and the high-investment lead to debt and being broke. Fishtank is also a high-investment effort, and the success of that is decent at best. The Fishtank content is undercut by all the PGL content and other podcasts that Sam has on the clips channel, which clearly take less effort and are the main source of income that keeps the MDE machine going (aside from the tours). One has to wonder if his extreme-effort + investment is result of him wanting to be rich, very badly.

Don't get me wrong though, I like Sam as a comedian/podcaster, and it's not going to change for a long time. But if Sam keeps trying to bang his head against the wall, something's going to crack.

which is an illogical mindset
Not really, it makes perfect sense if you’ve ever engaged in creative work. It’s easy to get caught up in perfectionism and the idea that you can only work in manic creative states; Sam is arguing against that behavior in favor of cultivating a strict work ethic so that you can complete work reliably and efficiently instead of relying on the whims of your creative winds that particular day.

that leads to high-production content which produces little payout, or the same payout as lower-production content.
Based on what?

basically advocating for wasteful expenditure and ignoring any solutions that are more cost-efficient.
A notorious perfectionist demands to use specific high end equipment and refuses to compromise with substitutes? No way, this is totally unprecedented.

LOL, The Great War is high production? Are you listening to yourself right now?

Mondo Megabits is arguably the one thing you’re right about, and Sam talks constantly about how it was such a failure because of the effort he expended on making it the best NFT project he could ended up also making it a Johnny come lately project. If anything, this is an argument in favor of even more of a blue collar work ethic; had Sam been more able to let go of his perfectionism and more accepting of releasing a subpar product, he would have been able to release the project during the NFT boom and actually make a profit from it, instead of it being an extremely polished and high quality product that made no money because it came out after everyone was done flipping bored apes.

The Fishtank content is undercut by all the PGL content and other podcasts that Sam has on the clips channel, which clearly take less effort and are the main source of income that keeps the MDE machine going (aside from the tours).
He’s aware of this and it’s a big part of the reason he does it despite hating it. Go listen to the early PGL podcasts, Sam has nothing but contempt for the format.

One has to wonder if his extreme-effort + investment is result of him wanting to be rich, very badly.
The extreme effort is part of him being a perfectionistic creative. As far as money goes, he’s already a multi-millionaire. The main thing he wants money for is to fund his long haul video game project, which we will probably never see because Sam will hyperfixate on every minor detail of it, contrary to his own advice regarding work ethic (which is actually good).

But if Sam keeps trying to bang his head against the wall, something's going to crack.
He’s always been a perfectionist dating back to fucking Techno Toys. This is how his brain works and how he will probably always function, regardless of his own advice advocating against it.

I like the bit of dabbing on the coloreds and how dumb and 60iq they are by agreeing with them. Who knew they would create their own minstrel acts

Fatty and Burt were on the good kike’s show. Fatty seems to have cucked to idubbz and says he’s opened to talking with him and won’t make fun of his onlyfans femoid. Sad, tho this seems to have been recorded early in his weight loss journey so I hope he embraced hate

Fat fuck says whatever is necessary to get more food. More news at 7.

Do you even know what are you talking about?
If you are self-employed of course you gotta battle procrastination.
Scribbling your notes with pen and paper is of course better than typing shit on some faggot indian app.
