And just a PSA: piggy bought darn near 400 dollars of plastic crap to play a several year old TRUCK DRIVING SIMMMMM-YOUUUUU-LATE-OOOORRRR made by some janky eastern european shovelware developer. Not any racing game or Spintires or Dirt Rally...fucking American Truck Simulator.
Getting a plastic wheel is dumb.
Even lamer when he wants to get a real race rig and no stick. Bro is scared of manual

Please. An entire subsection of boomers found out what an M-rated game was on account of GTA III. It was the game on every news agency’s tongue before the Western zeitgeist even cared about video game news. The fact that you could fuck a whore for a health refill and then whip out your baseball bat for a quick refund was almost more widespread than bin Laden’s face back in late-‘01 and ‘02.
Same game where your first employer is a mafioso that runs a whorehouse btw. But remember, he's this Elder Statesman of Gaming™ who has this deep well of knowledge about gaming and the industry and the only reason nobody respects him is because of
DA TROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLZ

A tween who’s just logged into Fortnite for the first time knows more about gaming than Phil at this point.

I'll slightly disagree about the game not the idea but I remember it being Vice City being the one that got the ire of the media and politicians with the whole oh you can kill hookers and dump them in the ocean, III although good didn't quite have the hype Vice did but it did lay the foundation.

They were both fairly controversial and then there was the hot coffee shit in a later game. I don't think vice city got any more outrage. GTA 3 was released just after 9/11 or some shit and there were some changes because of that and plenty of negative attention before VC even came around.

Postal 1 and 2 got even more negative attention than any GTA game though.

If Phil is inherited 30 Goddard, it will sit there for years like his old apartment did. He wants nothing to do with that duplex. They might as well give it to the coalburner cousin, or sell it off somehow.
Neither will pay the property taxes (it's not his responsibility dood) and the house will get auctioned off after the tax lien.

And he said he had to buy a gear shifter too or else he wouldn't be able to drive in reverse.

This stood out to me as well. He's so fucking dumb, it's amazing.

I don't know who he was talking to, but they convinced him to get the shifter, which he 100% won't need. Obviously, all you have to do, is shift down one more time when you're in Neutral, hit the gas, and there you go.

Clip:

He also showed how he's attaching all this shit to his flimsy, shaky table:

The force feedback of the steering wheel combined with the force being put into shifting gears will make his table tremble constantly at the least. Also: he's using an office chair on wheels - this means he'll constantly be pushing himself away from the desk when applying force on the pedals with his feet/legs (unless the chair has brakes, but I don't know). AND, since it's an office chair, the seat will constantly rotate as well, which is annoying as fuck when using a steering wheel/pedals. And guess what: the trucks usually have 10-18 gears, just like in real life, so he will have to be operating both the clutch and the shifter constantly, which he probably didn't take into consideration. :story:

Oh yeah, this shit's going to GUD. There will be at least a boomer-style tech stream of him trying to set up the steering wheel, which will probably provide some gold dust. And I can't wait for the inevitable toxic rant aimed at "all the peepul" FORCING him into buying buying a steering wheel (AND a shifter) once he realizes 1) it's not working as he was expecting, and 2) he's not going to use it often (or even at all).

I did not expect him to get a shifter too.
I am unironically excited about something Phil is going to do for the first time in years.

EDIT: So some other details on that shifter he got. There's not technically a reverse gear on those logitech ones, it only has 1-6. To shift into reverse you have to push down the stick and then shift into 6th. It sucks and I hate it. Phil is going to fuck it up. I don't understand why he bought the fucking shifter, just use the paddles. Shift into neutral and then downshift into R. He's so fucking dumb man

Of all the junk he's bought, he's yet to buy a new chair, or even a proper L shaped desk to fit all his shit.

With his chair, when he was doing those wide angle shots, look at how low he was sitting. The chair dampner is most likely broken, so his shoulders are barely above his closet door handles.

he really though he would get 3k for streaming this shit.
also, all new consoles have very little exclusive once they launch. it's fuckin' life, phil. sometimes, weens aren't going to throw money at you all the time.
thanks phil. that switch could have gone to a kid dying of cancer. could have brought some joy to him, but, instead, it went to a man child who, is now, going to put it in his closet and will never see the light of day again.

And like PPP said if he wasn't such a cheapass. He could get nintendo online and do retro marathons.

Even IF Phil got his parents house, you really think he would choose the intelligent option of renting it out? He would pay out the ass to sell it, getting ripped off in the process and IMMEDIATELY blow whatever he made in a period of a month or two to Scopely.
There's already tons of classic rants about why he didn't rent out his empty condo after his aunt passed away. It was too much work, the management company wouldn't answer his emails, it wasn't going to make him any money. Much better to continue to pay a mortgage on an empty property and get absolutely nothing out of it, right?

Wtf is going on with support lately ?
Probably just tapped out for the week.

A year ago, he had to sustain a goal of $100 + subs with 15+ people.

Now it's $300 and there are fewer of them, plus two whales got banned two days ago, so they need to go through their "Angry at Phil and not donating" arc and transition it to the "Apology" arc like ICS.

It'll catch up by Thursday, don't worry, lmao even.
