Actor Jonathan Joss — best known for his voice work on the iconic animated TV comedy “King of Hill” was shot dead by a neighbor in Texas, according to a report.

Joss, who voiced “John Redcorn” on the long-running cartoon, got into a argument with the neighbor at his home in San Antonio Sunday night when the neighbor pulled out a gun and shot him several times, according to police.

The unnamed gunman then fled the scene in a vehicle but was arrested by police just a block from the residence.

The neighbor’s 11-year-old child witnessed the shooting and the resident recalled hearing three “loud” shots fired. The neighbor claimed she “saw the shooter put his car in reverse.” After hearing the shots, the neighbor said she and her husband rushed outside to help Joss and provide CPR to save his life. However, the gunshot wounds to the left side of his neck and right side of his chest appeared to be too severe, she said.​

“He was dying. You could see fear in his eyes. I kept saying ‘Stay here and stay with us, John’ and I could see his eyes shifting to try to stay alive,” the neighbor said. “It was so traumatic and I can’t stop thinking about it.”​

So, no neighbor standing over them laughing and calling them slurs. And the pooner didn't bravely hold him, and she probably just stood there uselessly as neighbors actually tried to help. What a surprise.

On the other hand it does look like it was actually murder and not self-defense, unless Joss rushed him with the pitchfork or something.
