Actor Jonathan Joss — best known for his voice work on the iconic animated TV comedy “King of Hill” was shot dead by a neighbor in Texas, according to a report.

Joss, who voiced “John Redcorn” on the long-running cartoon, got into a argument with the neighbor at his home in San Antonio Sunday night when the neighbor pulled out a gun and shot him several times, according to police.

The unnamed gunman then fled the scene in a vehicle but was arrested by police just a block from the residence.

OK, the shooter needs to be freed. This is obviously self-defense. And law enforcement should be ashamed by letting things get this bad. This article also doesn't explain that Joss wasn't actually gay and that his husband is a woman.

Some calls involved allegations that Joss had damaged neighbors’ property. Multiple neighbors alleged that Joss damaged their fences with his Hummer. On Dec. 18, a neighbor reported that a section of her chain-link fence had been knocked down overnight.

Neighbors also accused him of throwing trash or bricks into their yards and brandishing weapons.

“He had a machete he’d run around with, a tomahawk he’d throw at telephone poles,” Anthony said.

At the vigil a week after Joss was killed, his husband sat on a sidewalk and thanked the crowd of friends, family, fans and LGBTQ+ and American Indian community members for their support. He said he and Joss both battled mental illnesses before alluding to Joss’ disdain for fences.

“If you weren’t a fence, my husband wasn’t a threat to you,” he said. “But if you were a fence, you were probably going to get torn down — one way or another.”

What the fuck. For some reason this crazy fuck was obsessed with destroying fences and it's mentioned like some cute quirk at his funeral.

Arias said the most violent incident occurred in 2021 when his employees were building his house on Dorsey Street. He said Joss threw gasoline at the workers and threatened to set them on fire. He then set the fence on fire and yelled vulgarities, threatening to call immigration authorities to deport them, Arias said, adding that he called police.

"Die in a fire" is mean words. "I'm going to burn you" is a threat. "i'm going to set you on fire" combined with throwing gasoline at the victim and then lighting a nearby object on fire is a whole lot more than just a threat. Why was this guy never charged with the actual gravity of the crimes he committed? Oh- that's right.

In one video, Joss is seen screaming obscenities and kicking the wooden fence with the intent to damage it, then breaking the fence with a hammer, according to the affidavit.

She said Joss woke her early one morning, asking if she wanted lemonade. After pointing out it was 3 a.m, she went back to sleep. She said the next thing she remembers, she was awakened when Joss fired a pistol into the headboard above her.

“I got up and threw some clothes and my phone in a garbage sack,” she said. “I got in my car and left.”

Carrying on from Larry's post. I saw something interesting in the article.

When the police were called, Joss often told officers it was all “just an act” — and eventually they’d leave, Anthony and several other neighbors said. Joss' ex-wife alleged some officers would ask the actor to sign autographs before departing.

I was having a giggle when I talked about the comparison between Big Willy and Deadcorn, but this is literally one for one at this point. We got the unhinged fence destruction and lighting fires.


We got the police being worthless and asking for autographs and photos.

Dawes roll doesn't apply to northeastern, midwestern, or western tribes. It's only the Five Tribes of the southeast- Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole. And plenty of whities from Oklahoma and nearby have a Dawes Roll ancestor and a tribal membership card and zero other affiliation with anything remotely Indian.

Because he was mostly Mexican, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs doesn't consider anybody with less than 1/4 Native ancestry to be Native. Also, the tribes themselves generally only admit people to tribal rolls who have provable 1/4 ancestry in that tribe—so if he's 1/8 Comanche and 1/8 White Mountain Apache, he wouldn't meet the required "blood quantum." There are countless people out there who have at least 1/4 Native ancestry, and "look Indian"; many even live on reservations where they have family and participate in Native culture, but they aren't enrolled in any tribe because their ancestry is spread across multiple tribes.

Blood quantum is a tricky subject—some tribes admit members with less than 1/4 tribal ancestry; others don't, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole today, no no no, LOL.
