The Elder Scrolls

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Pirate v1.6.1170 and then install this mod to remove all the CC bullshit you don't want. You will have to leave fishing and survival CC installed for most mods to work. Pretty much every SE mod has been ported to AE or has an AE replacement that works better. If you pirate AE from a Russian site make sure you change the voice files to English unless you want everyone speaking Russian.
Getting AE isn't the issue. I have around 300 mods and I could see a troubleshooting nightmare that I don't want to deal with right now. I'll just use an older version of requiem in this case.

Guess they assume everyone has the Anniversary edition now. Still dumb, of course. Not everyone wants that. I get not wanting to support multiple versions, but how hard is it to just say you can't help with one version anymore in the description while leaving the unsupported version up? They're free mods, anyway. I've only made basic shitpost mods, so I might be talking out of my ass.
The older version of requiem is still available, but there isn't any mention of the latest patches being AE only. There's a blog post he made on another website about CC integration, but he never says they're required masters. Unfortunately a lot of old requiem patches aren't available anymore, but fortunately I still have them on my computer.

I'm in that wonderful spot of TES4R where, having gotten 101% Spell Absorb, I'm just grinding out the rest of my skills to be done with this shit. Got all my mage stuff done, got all my armors up to max, etc.

Only thing left are the melee weapons -- slowly grinding those on the invincible guys outside of that one shrine, Marksmanship, and Speechcraft. Of those, the only one I'm not super enthused about is Marksmanship, since that isn't easily farmed without some source of infinite arrows.

Almost ready to start the main quest!

Well over 200 hours in and almost two months later I've squeezed out every bit of gameplay out of the remaster, sans maybe playing a stealth archer aka the gayest build in existence. Sneaky bastards decided to split the Mania/Dementia ruler achievements, so after killing Jyggalag on my second character I used the first one to speedrun SI up to Thadon's poisoning. Won't be upgrading my PC after all since I'll be going back to games released 15+ years ago.

Enemies randomly having high levels of spell reflect is gay as fuck. Otherwise, OBR is a 8.5/10 overall.

Senior dev said that there's at least five trans characters in TR, which, considering the total NPC count of the entire mod, is very ignorable and easily missable.
The remake reminded me of my way-overdue biannual replay of Morrowind and I updated TR and saw this. I'm not too surprised given trannyism has blown through nerd communities like crack, but at the same time, five is more than zero, which is way too many. It's also a reminder that discords are always gay and compromised.

Guess if I run into one I'll treat it like a joke character and maybe kill it (unless they made them immortal somehow).

Wait where's the point of no return on that shit? Cause I'm saving SI for last and have no intention of doing the rest of this shit a second time, so I'd like to just save before the decision point and just speedrun the SI quests once.

I've played TR content quite a bit and I have literally no idea who any of those characters even would be. It must be pretty fucking subtle because them being present in the mod at all is news to me.

It's entirely possible this is one of those cases where something very vague is hinted at (like a female character who doesn't want to wear a dress or a male who's slightly effeminate) and they try to "claim" it.

Even a single one is annoying, I hope their not "prophesy" characters that'll destroy quest lines because nuked them with a custom fireball.
Nothing wrong with the ol' MHW(white too) but it's ludicrous to complain about trying to cheese a game you played a hundred times for fun with cheap or exploitable builds. He even brings it up, it's a single player game you paid for and you're not hurting anyone, why would you care what I do in it? Even if someone makes a memey youtube video showing off the build and it's potential, what are you gonna do about it? Cry?
Must be one of the stupidest things I heard all year so far.
Sad part is, I've seen this many times through the years. It's not even slightly new for someone to bitch about how people are playing their single-player game, tale as old as these types of games.

Yeah, save in the sacellum before you decide. Stock up on chameleon potions or enchantments for Thadon. Syl just requires you to fight some dark seducers and is very weak herself, went down to a single 300 damage thunderbolt spell.

I forgot how cool Conjuration feels in Oblivion, I don't usually play as a mage in Oblivion or Skyrim but when I do I have a fuck ton of fun

I usually start the main quest right off soon after I get out of the dungeon like at level 3 or 4

Played Daggerfall Unity on a handheld for a bit and while the game looks and runs great at full 2k res max fps, aiming with the sticks is very annoying. The crosshair has to line perfectly otherwise the hit doesn't register, and since it's daggerfall the hits don't register anyway at low levels. OpenMW Morrowind is a much better experience with the controller.

But all of these old TES games I've tried with a controller (Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion) seem to be designed with only mouse/kb in mind. Sad because they make fun quick jump-in and jump-out experiences when you're bored at the airport or waiting somewhere. Outside of Morrowind, I don't like sitting down at my PC to play these old ass TES games. On a handheld screen they look good too, on a big monitor not so much.

Btw anyone's waiting for Skyblivion instead of playing Oblivion Remastered? I hope I won't be disappointed.

That's because TES III had a xbox port in their minda one year before. It's a bit obvious why.

Nah. The Android port isn't made by DFWorkshop. Is a unofficial fan-made one from the Linux build.
If you want less pixels and a more livid world, just use DREAM and the mod recommendations in the same nexus page; it is worth in higher screen resolutions.

Not me. I still have my OG modded game.

Replaying Oblivion makes me realize how unbelievably nerfed and shit magic is in Skyrim.

Yes 100 lightning damage a second and a spell that turns you invisible while also giving you 100% damage resist is OP as fuck but who cares?

I always thought the whole point of videogames was to be fun not for everything to be perfectly balanced.

You mean that, but you can even do that between Arena and Oblivion.
First mistake Skyrim made was removing spellcasting.
