They don't actually like Star Wars. They just like calling themselves the Rebels. Otherwise you'd see much more Harry Potter stuff. Why? Harry Potter is legitimately everything these people stand for. Voldemort is literally Hitler. The Death Eaters are an evil version of the KKK. Yet you hardly see anything about that. Why? Because despite the meme being "Read Another Book":
I think the political war setting of Star Wars makes it much more capable of being political propaganda than Harry Potter easily. Star Wars at it's core is literally a story of a dictatorship rising and being overthrown while they are endlessly told by the media and the show creators that it's happening in real life or as the actual words the show creators said themselves "coming to a galaxy near you." Harry potter is just about a gay wizard going to school, no one cares about that shit.

Making fun of the dissident right and their schizo flip flopping is unacceptable in a thread about American politics. We can only talk about a certain specific group of right wingers and can't mock any right wingers no matter how dumb they are
People are shitting on you because your post was making it seem like anyone here gives two shits what the groypers say. I know this is hard to understand, because you're used to getting shit on for being a kike.

Post better.

Cartel stuff has been around for 20 years, it's absolutely impressive how fast everything went to shit but that's kinda the point, it was fast, unexpected, and brutal. Mexico's murder rate was dropping until 2008 where it spiked like a motherfucker. I don't think we'd be doing as much buisness as we do with Mexico if we didn't have the inheritance of the good decades before 2008, but now we're sorta forced to continue trading and working with them due to the fact that a significant chunk of the buisnessses in border states are deeply tied to the shithole down the border, and you can't disengage that without hurting the bottom line which is ultimately the only thing that matters for US elections. Greg Abbott tried to shut down the Texan border and was basically stabbed in the back by the truckers, the farmers, the manufacturing sector, everyone in Texas needed that border acccepting trucks in a speedy fashion and that caused him to just give up 3 days into the whole mess.

Don't know if this speaks to the fundamentals but it is not true that this was a problem since forever, or else we would not have stuff like NAFTA, and Mexico would be more to us like how Africa is to the Europeans.
There is something to be said here for sure. But the conclusions that the cartels did not exist before 08 is not entirely true. The PRI one party rule that ended in the 2000s goes some way to explain it. In many ways, those politicians were the real gangsters. The arrangement was "behave, make your money, shut the fuck up and always kick up". In 2000 those people lost power.
In 2006 president Calderón came to power. His policy was not to appease these monsters but to try and defeat them. In 2006 Calderon went to war with the Cartels. He lost, BADLY. The campaign only had some limited success in killing some cartel kingpins here and there.
But this is the turning point for a number of reasons. The Cartels finally realized that they were more powerful than the Mexican state, so the whole "behave and lay low" philosophy went out the window. After winning the war the cartels learned that they could call the shots. They also learned that indiscriminate killing was a good way to pressure the state into giving them what they wanted. This is why nobody in Mexico has the stomach to fight them. Also, killing their leadership fragmented them and broke the balance of power in the cartels, leading to an all out thunderdome. Some have called this a "commercial insurgency".

This was when a lot of people began to suspect he was a federal agent. It's not the only thing however. He also did some conferences where he collected the IDs of everyone who attended and it was alleged by a former associate of his that he was actively under investigation at the time and didn't tell his followers (suggesting he was farming intelligence on his followers for the government in order to make a deal).
I'm not trying to get into an argument about Fuentes here because we'll end up talking ourselves in circles for the rest of the day, but I will say this. I don't understand why people think the FBI/CIA/Mossad *need* him to "farm intelligence" when they already have access to all of this information in the first place (a la PRISM).

Internal NSA presentation slides included in the various media disclosures show that the NSA could unilaterally access data and perform "extensive, in-depth surveillance on live communications and stored information" with examples including email, video and voice chat, videos, photos, voice-over-IP chats (such as Skype), file transfers, and social networking details. Snowden summarized that "in general, the reality is this: if an NSA, FBI, CIA, DIA, etc. analyst has access to query raw SIGINT [signals intelligence] databases, they can enter and get results for anything they want."

Following up from @behindyourightnow

There is also a good chunk of Dems who have little to no idea what is actually happening. They see the highlight of Chauvin kneeling on Flyod, complain about police reforms then support BLM as they are just a peaceful group looking to fix the police. If you ask about Chaz/Chop, they have no idea what it is. Most don't even know about defund the police or just see it as a rightwing hoax Fox created.

One benefit for the Dems is that their base is largely isolated from the effects of their protestors, both in terms of consequences and information. It is why there really is no good answer to your question.
I haven't heard this for a while, but I liked the explanation that they live in a constructed hyper-reality.

It's a postmodern view, but I think it explains their mindset pretty well. They only see short MSM clips and articles that phrase and construct The Narrative. They've rejected any outside source since they have been deemed Maga/nazi/bigots and any information they present is wrong. Their views get continually reinforced though social media censorship and algorithms.

Only through something personally severe can the veil be pierced, and then not always.

I guess I don't know how to respond to someone who believes everything that happened with organized crime in Mexico from 1940's to 2005 was just a spook CIA op and not real. Have a great day.
Hey, I said what happend in the 80s especifically was a CIA op, and that's what created that flareup. There was organized crime before and after (every country of sufficient size has organized crime), of course, it was just neither powerful nor emboldened to put a dent on muder numbers. You see a flareup in the 80s, and then in 2008, not 2005, I think you did not look at the data I provided. I am trying to explain why you saw two flareups, and you seem incapable of understanding that sometimes things are not eternal, just like how you seemed unable to understand that Pablo Escobar was Colombian and not Mexican. Understanding the world and the patterns (like nigger murder rates) in it makes you more capable of taking decicions, just saying.

Why does openly embracing criminality seem to be a central tenet of progressivism? You come here illegally, you get removed. A—>B. It’s so basic you’d think even the biggest bleeding heart would understand it has to be done. I cannot fucking believe we have half the country believing enforcing laws is mean and you need to have a heckin empathy and let people do anything they want all the time. I’m so hung up on this this morning, I can’t fathom it. It only fuels my schizo theory that city-dwellers’ heads are getting too full of plastic to grasp cause and effect. Or reality in general.

There's an easy compromise here. One that will make Trump happy and resolve the illegals issue.
Mexico as our 51st state
I'd just take Baja California.
The Mexicans aren't doing anything with it. The only civilization there is Tijuana which is just a tumor on San Diego and Cabos. Everything between those two places is empty land we can use to turn into a maga space port. Then 20 years from now when squat goblins start moving there like Coyotes edging Human nomads during the Stone Age or Bantu niggers edging South African cities, they'll claim that they built it all.

OSINT is easier to gather than parsing through raw data and digital traffic. Watching what someone says publicly doesn't require as many technicians or search warrants.

So is Trump's DOJ making any plans to go after the rich cunts funding all this?

I can see why Putler or Xi once in a while put some rich cunt into a grave or accidentally thrown out a window.

i dont think he disagrees with the point they make. he wants to point out that these people are getting their talking points by some central authority, to the point where they are posting the same thing almost word for word.
it's a bit like that collage with dozens of "local" news stations all running the exact same 'danger to Our Democracy' talking points.

Almost looks like a copy and paste effort and at the same time.

Reminds me of that social influencer summit that Trump had and some of those influencers came walking out with redacted pages inside binders.

Greg Abbott tried to shut down the Texan border and was basically stabbed in the back by the truckers, the farmers, the manufacturing sector, everyone in Texas needed that border acccepting trucks in a speedy fashion and that caused him to just give up 3 days into the whole mess.

Business leaders always causing problems.

And to paraphrase George Carlin, all of them came from American schools, churches and homes.

They're only against the state if the state is not ruled by them. Again, they're perfectly fine with enforcing COVID lockdowns if it means locking people up that go against THEM, but sit on their hands when the state would actually enforce law and order against their "principles."

Usually think of my own family when explaining this. They stay informed, but it is a cycle of CNN, then go to FOX to see what Republicans are saying, then a large swath of Left affirming media see SNL, The Daily Show, etc.. Their only interaction with the internet is relegated to FaceBook, which in-and-of-itself is a left-leaning nightmare of the same basic taglines regarding LGBT or anti-Trump efforts.

Their interactions with Republicans are limited to FOX grifters and equally out-of-touch Boomers of FB. It is a bit scary how many are practically living in 05 with the only difference being Trump fearmongering, which has radicalized the shit out of them.

I mean, the truckers were also, you know, the actual truckers, not just the leaders. Kinda fucked when you have a job and salary that's stable and then something related to politics suddenly takes that off and leaves you unable to sustain your family, made a lot of sense they got angry, for reasons similar to the COVID restrictions.
People, not just buisness leaders, care about making their living, and when politics of any flavor get in the way of them doing that you're gonna get them very angry.

Harry Potter has a wizard who is the Grand Wizard of the KKK. He wants to genocide minorities and mixed race people. He has an army and loyal followers in hoods. They don't really bring it up too much because this is a bigger plot point in the books than in the movies. The movies barely feature these things at all. The only reason the left doesn't parade HP around anymore is because a solid 60% is lying and have never read the books and never seen the movies.

Star Wars is the same. Ask people around you how many Star Wars they've seen. Ask the major fans if they've seen every movie. Pressure them a little. You'll be surprised at their answers.

They're not fans. They never were. They just like to say they're fans. I've met plenty of leftists who have lied for literal decades about seeing movies they claim to love and reading books they claim to be a huge part of the fandom for. They just like pandering the message.

• Two days later AB wants to play again and is asking for the league to wrap up it's investigation

• Joins TB12 in Tampa Bay, Wins a Super Bowl.

Oh, there's more, this is just from his NFL career alone.
