Cartels are the real power; and they have plenty of connections via simply being a brown taco speaker. Don't be fooled with all the heart string shit about wanting better lives and what-not. It may not be a uniformed standing army (which means rules of war don't apply... let's fucking white phosphorus all of East LA); but they project power, with the help of law enforcement looking the other way through bribes and other shit.

Edit: As an addition to that; you may have heard the claim that US citizens smuggle guns into Mexico which leads to violence, which is one of the main complaints with the State of Mexico attempting to sue American gun manufacturers. Now here's how we cut the cake, because they're not entirely wrong, believe it or not. American citizens are buying guns, bringing them across the border to Mexico, and giving them to whoever. The part they omit is that these are either dreamers or children of dreamers/illegals, so that whole birthright citizenship thing takes precedence; but the State of Mexico also acknowledges them as being Mexican due to their parentage, especially because familial ties these "American Citizens" have to Mexico. This is how "Mexico" projects power, by using these people who allegedly love the USA and it's all they ever known; while waving the Mexican Flag and being a useless fucking leech.

And that aside, never heard that the Cartel bribing or having associations with people in various branches and locations in the military? They're everywhere, and the government knows it, but won't fucking wipe them off the face of the map like they deserve.
Mexico complaining about guns is honestly hilarious, especially when you consider guns are a RIGHT in Mexico. Literally the only reason they complain is because they don't have total control over the guns because of their own laws. Glad SCOTUS shot their lawsuit down.
Can we give Sheinbaum the Soleimani special and be done with it already?

The ninja missile has honestly been one of the most KINO missiles to come out of the MIC in decades, ngl.
I don't believe that, until we mobilize every artillery unit in the entire nation and just start flattening everything 10 miles deep into their side of the border, I won't believe it.
EVERY artillery unit? I mean... that's a lot of MLRS, Tomahawks, Dark Eagles, 155mm, 105mm, and mortars. Mexico would look like fucking Reach lmao. But I mean... that would in fact be Total Taco Death lmao.

2A detractors often point out how the founders could never have predicted full auto rifles when they wrote about the right to bear arms.

If you ever meet someone stupid enough to have this take in person, ask them if the first amendment shouldn't apply to the internet as the founders never could have predicted it or whether their smartphone, which the founders could never have predicted, does not enjoy forth amendment protections. Stare at them until they realize how retarded they are and start to feel properly ashamed.

San Mateo County approves $1.75 million for immigration legal help despite call for more

Amid escalating federal immigration enforcement in California, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved $1.75 million in legal aid funding for residents facing deportation proceedings.

About 55,000 people in the county, or roughly 7.5% of the population, lack legal status, according to data from the Migration Policy Institute. Money for the aid will be drawn from Measure K — the county’s half-cent sales tax for public services.

Tuesday’s vote came as demand for immigration legal assistance has surged.

In the first three days of June, the county’s rapid response hotline received more than 250 calls, 95% of which were requests for legal help, according to Faith in Action Bay Area, a civic group that partners with the county to assist immigrants. The group urged the board to increase funding by $1 million, raising the total to $2.75 million.

“Many of the callers are asylum seekers fleeing persecution, unaccompanied youth, and others who are extremely vulnerable,” the group said in a statement.

Hundreds of advocates attended Tuesday’s board meeting to urge supervisors to add $1 million to the funding, enough to hire at least three more immigration attorneys for a total of seven. But because the item was placed on the board’s consent agenda — a bundle of measures approved without discussion — supervisors did not publicly address the request or explain why it wasn’t included in the final resolution.

County spokesperson Michelle Durand said the board approved the amount as proposed to avoid disruptions to ongoing services.

“The board moved forward with the agendized funding request to avoid any gaps in service if the agreements between the county and the Legal Aid Society reach their June 30, 2025, expiration date,” Durand said, referring to one of the local organizations contracted to help the county provide legal aid to immigrants. “The board can still consider increasing the funds at a later date.”

Board President David Canepa said he has supported deportation defense funding since 2017.

“I fully support this work and will continue to advocate for our immigrant community and any needs that may arise during these uncertain times,” Canepa said in a statement. In a separate text message, he added that the board is open to considering additional funding in future meetings.

Despite the board’s decision, Faith in Action Bay Area said it looks forward to continued collaboration.

“San Mateo County residents deserve to have legal consultation and representation in immigration court,” said spokesperson Trinidad Villagomez. “This is urgent, and we look forward to their swift action in future meetings to protect the safety and dignity of our immigrant families.”

County officials said previously they’re reviewing next year’s budget with caution as they brace for potential federal funding cuts. The proposed $4.9 billion spending plan reflects that restraint.

During the meeting, many immigrant community advocates said the current funding levels fall short. Carol Cook, a San Mateo County resident of 35 years, called the situation urgent.

“A larger increase is needed due to the urgency and scale of the crisis,” she said. “Adding three more attorneys would still bring us to less than 40% of the level Santa Clara and San Francisco counties are funding.”

Faith in Action Bay Area said in a news release Santa Clara and San Francisco counties each allocate about $6 million annually to immigrant legal services. Alameda County approved $3.5 million in March for similar programs. Last December, Santa Clara redirected $5 million from its cash reserves to bolster deportation defense after President Donald Trump announced plans for mass deportations.

Local teachers and advocates also voiced fears for their students and neighbors.

“Every time one of my students doesn’t come in, I am terrified for them,” said Jak Buford, a teacher in Redwood City. “If we cannot protect them entirely from ICE, at the very least we can support them in court so they have the help every member of this country is entitled to.”

Tensions between California officials and the Trump administration are escalating amid widespread protests that began in Los Angeles and have now spread to the Bay Area. Border czar Tom Homan recently threatened to arrest state leaders, including Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, warning them not to obstruct Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations.

With more protests planned in the Bay Area in the coming week, San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus — the county’s first Latina sheriff — emphasized in a statement Tuesday that her department does not assist ICE with its operations.

“Our policy complies with applicable state law,” she said. “We only comply with judicial warrants. Since I took office in January 2023, the Sheriff’s Office has not turned anyone over to ICE.”

Corpus added that her department remains focused on public safety and upholding constitutional rights.

“We respect and honor individuals’ First Amendment rights,” she said. “We also want to remind community members that we will not tolerate violence, harm to law enforcement or civilians, or destruction of property during protests.”

So 1 day of republicans rioting surrounded on both sides by 30+ years or more of democrats burning, killing, looting terrorizing their own cities. Republicans riot so rarely these fucking niggers know the ONE DATE it happened on. Id have to be rainman to list the date of every fucking chimp democrat riot over the last 20 years.
And the second the Repubs, the MAGA-leaning libertarians, etc. did it, it became a day worse than 9/11.

Any link where I can read more of this? Sounds interesting

Charge of the Rohirrim. Horses on the move.
I love reading through in the morning and reading this lol. Makes me see the streams in my head.
Easy. Nobody was forced to cross the international border illegally. They chose of their own free will to do so. We, as Americans, have no obligation to entertain the delusion that these people have a right to stay in our land simply by nature of them claiming they have a right to do so. It is ours. They were not born of the land, they did not breathe its air with the screams of their birth, and they do not hold love for it in their heart.

They are not our countrymen, and today they have shown their true colors. Literally. By raising the tricolor of the United States of Mexico on American soil and attacking our people. This is not a question of rights and civil liberties. This is a question of sovreignty, and who owns the land. The Americans or the Mexicans. This land belongs to the Americans, and all those who hold allegiance to Mexico must now be expelled from our land.

Its not even the Mexican people attacking our nation on our streets today doing this. The Mexican State, their own President, has encouraged their actions. What has happened today was a formalized policy of a foreign nation and an act of war. All Mexicans must be expelled now and the Mexican Nation, All its people, and the Government who is their sovereign, All must be brought to account by the United States for this egregious violation of sovereignty.
It's insane they still carry a grudge from the Mexican American war. They are literally colonizers. Trying to take back the land they LOST.
And? The Mexican President, their Head of State, called HER CITIZENS, in MY COUNTRY, Heroes, for attacking my country.

I do not CARE. I do not care anymore. I do not want to hear anymore sob stories. I am not a fool, and I doubt my fellow Americans are fools either. Our compassion has been abused too often and too far. We have been attacked this week, and this attack was not just perpetrated by Mexican Citizens illegally in our country, it was perpetrated with the willing support of the Government of Mexico. This is not a diplomatic dispute. This is an act of war. Diplomacy is so much a dead letter now.

Until 48 hours ago, I assumed all that Viva La Raza, In an Absolut World, was all ancient history from the Mexican American War almost two centuries ago. Apparently not. Apparently I, along with the vast majority of Americans, assumed the Mexicans were our, if not total friends, at least accepting neutral partners. How wrong I was. How wrong we all were. The Mexicans are not friends. They are not even neutral whatevers. They are enemies, and worse, they have always been enemies, just waiting for the moment to plunge the knife.

Sucks to suck. You tried this week, and you missed. I will not forget this, and no American should forget what happened this week either.
The Mexican kike president should be ousted by a full scale US invasion. If they want to talk Viva La Raza so bad, we can conquer Mexico AGAIN.

Don't forget the square rounds for turks.
A good bit after the signing of the constitution but I never miss an opportunity to point out that in the mid 1800s there was a 20 shot revolver and it apparently worked quite well. There was also a 30 shot one in the 1900s.
Those were cool. The rounds were tiny though and pretty weak. On the flip side, you have 30 rounds

I don't have it handy, but there's a 4chan screenshot out there explaining this pretty well.
Basically, one of the things TPTB learned from programs like MKULTRA is that human brains suck at telling fiction from reality.
If a monkey sees another monkey get a banana for doing a trick on the TV screen, monkey thinks he will get banana for doing the same thing. Similarly, if human sees hero in Marvel film behave a certain way, they expect they will receive the same (or similar) rewards for doing the same things. Scale that up across thousands of films and other media and you can program certain "truths" into a population that don't actually have any real world equivalent.

It's pretty evil when you think about it, because like you pointed out, old stories usually serve to help teach lessons on behavior and expectations within a society.

It's not fiction in general, it's just live action cinema and TV, by the way. Should be obvious why and how that happens.

Just caught up in the thread, but I can't tell if the rioters ended up leaving or if they were still destroying things during the night while the LAPD just shuffled them around pretending to look busy? I don't blame the police, they've been neutered by Karen EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL WHILE A CAR BLOWS UP BEHIND ME AND BTW WE HAVE A CURFEW NOW Bass. It seems like the rioters didn't leave or was that rioting in other cities?

Truth is, before this "revolution" shit took over, (the eternal revolution shit predates Star Wars by at least 200 years) Western Culture was about crucifying/blinding/burning at the stake the people who didn't believe the same God as you. Everyone tried to become Rome after it fell, and they enforced things at the tip of the sword.

As for American culture, it's about getting rich and telling everyone else to fuck off. Christianity in Europe developed as a religion that instituted charity, whereas American Christianity is all about wallowing in your wealth like you're the next best thing God created after breathable air, while telling the proles to go suck a fat one.

If this was "true" Western Culture, we'd be burning people at the stake for going to the wrong church.
Western culture (and to some extent, the rest of the world) is constantly in the pursuit of change and conflict. Perhaps this state of "revolution" is eternal and universal, depending on how broadly you define the word. The constant need to consider ideas and act against the grain is the opus of Humanity. Even with Christianity in mind, the first act committed by humanity was in revolt against its very creators. Time and time again it has been the unifying link between every era, be it a revolution of blood ("Revolution" as you envision conventionally) or a revolution of thought ("Revolution" as in to "move around an axis", with said "axis" being an idea or underpinning philosophy with which you can proffer different interpretations), the very foundation of all of humanity's development has been revolution.

Why "revolution" has become a dirty word is ultimately the fault of subversion — which some groups consider a virtue; consider how "Feminist Theory" (A critical theory, post-structuralist critique of how society treats women) completely supplanted the definition of "Feminist" (Women's rights advocates, who achieved all their aims by the 60s) which proffers concepts like patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and the "gender wage gap" , all the result of captured institutions redefining the word — and has subsequently become owned by the subverters, which is their grand aim.

“Traditional theory, which claims to be content with the way things are, serves to justify and perpetuate existing institutions; critical theory, however, is directed toward changing society and exposing its underlying mechanisms of domination.”
— Horkheimer, Traditional and Critical Theory, 1937
“The truth of art lies in its power to break the monopoly of established reality... to define what is real.”
Marcuse, The Aesthetic Dimension, 1977
Facts are made up, fabricated: not being fictions, but rather networks.”
Latour, Science in Action, 1987
“The ruling ideas of each age have ever been the ideas of its ruling class... The class which has the means of material production at its disposal, has control at the same time over the means of mental production, so that thereby, generally speaking, the ideas of those who lack the means of mental production are subject to it.”
— Marx, Feuerbach: Opposition of the Materialist and Idealist Outlook, 1846

American culture, in the eyes of this humble Brit, is revolution. It's the entire underpinning of how America came to be and thus the American identity, in which the pursuit of freedom and liberty revolves. Revolution, by those who have ideologically kidnapped it, mandate it be a violent affair committed with action and the ultimate intent to implement their Marxist derivative of choice (socialist, communist, anarchist — all of which involve impeding on individual rights and freedoms), when arguably an American revolution is committed in the pursuit of liberation and freedom exclusively, not with an asterisk or the marred intent of silencing your opponents. Those who wish to do the opposite to said Americans, and whose actions both direct and indirect force the impediment of liberty and freedom on others, are in violation of what America is and should thusly be removed or ignored utterly.

Western culture is progress by the strictest definition of the word. It is now being held back by subverters adhering to an antiquated ideology rooted and suited for 1850, that ultimately failed when it saw implementation outside of its time.

Edit: American Christianity saw similar subversion. The whole concept of Prosperity Theology is rooted in non-Christian "spiritualism", a failed actor-turned-pastor, and a charlatan who claimed he was Cherokee for clout.
