Trump set up a really stupid negotiating point to begin with. "Iran can't have nukes" is a non-starter when Iraq and Libya are proof of what happens when nations give up nuclear development.

The only reason why North Korea hasn't been invaded by the US and its allies is because of Kim's nuclear weapons program. Nuclear weapons and the threat of possibly possessing them are the greatest trump card to prevent foreign invasions of a country.

It is in my view however that we should give a near infinite supply of short range nuclear missiles to all third world shitholes so they can all wipe each other out on their own

You’re buying used tyres with ‘70% of tread’ left. You have no idea where they came from, if they are matching, if they were rotated properly if they were even from the same vehicle, if they were ever damaged, etc.

oh dear lord. Yes they come in sets. They’re trade ins from when people buy new tires. You measure the tread on both sides of each tire, it’s how you derive the remaining tread figure.

That’s a stupid risk to make for something that doesn’t even cost much compared to other major components of the car.

Components like the motor or the transmission,, sure.. rotors are like $40 each, pads and calipers are pretty similarly cheap, lots of sensors are like $20-$100, alternator is a couple hundred, belt is like $50..

The tyres are the single most important performance and safety component of a vehicle.

It's been a race against time for Iran to build competent air defense and proliferate nuclear warheads as a deterrent, but time is up and the plot has been exposed. Time to strike their nuclear sites or even take out the IRGC, either way, the country will quickly collapse like Syria and we can negotiate with new government. Its not the ideal outcome, but its the only one left.

I 100% agree that the best time for Iran to reach nukes was 5-15 years ago, but those nukes more so existed to fend off a full occupation attempt from the US instead of an attack from Israel. There simply aren't enough dudes in the IDF to occupy Iran. I do think you're neieve to expect the regime in Iran to collapse without a full invasion from a foreign power. Either way, US troops have no business getting involved as an American occupation is probably the only thing that can spark a resurgence of militant Shia Islam in Iran at this point, resulting in yet another Iraq/Afghanistan situation. Not to mention that another endless sandbox war is an electoral Elephant's Foot for the Republicans and Trump knows it.

I don't think Trump counted on Z and Putins hard hatred and stance against each other. He thought he could court both sides with a nice deal but neither party seemed interested. It was a valiant effort and I am glad we are no longer funding Z and letting them destroy each other but Trump misjudged both sides. Even after the Spiderweb bomber attack, both sides presented unrealistic demands at Turkey. They wanna keep killing each other.

The US is still aiding Ukraine even if the money hose has been turned off, and sales to Ukraine haven't ended, it's just being paid for with euro money. Also Ukraine is being funded by the bill passed under Biden which gives it something like 15 billion per year until 2030. Trump needed to drop Ukraine like a fuel rod instead of sticking around in a futile attempt to extract whatever resources are there because Z-man knows that he'll never have to uphold his end of the deal if the war never ends.
