While I usually stay out of the Furry sections out of fear, I thought I'd share this furry adjacent news that's got folks in a tizzy:

Sabrina Carpenter's new album was just announced - and it's titled "Man's Best Friend" and both of the covers have a dog theme. Everyone thinks it's gross/she's gross.

This is a late post, but I'm going to add my two cents. I've spoken with Trunchbull years ago through private messages, roughly around 2019 or 2020. She wrote in perfectly good English. I doubt she had 24/7 access to "human translators" to translate for her and she responded immediately in our short exchange. What I suspect is that she's running her normal English speech through translator to another language, then Japanese, and then running it back. It doesn't come off as naturally written broken English, but intentionally broken English through multiple translations in order to obfuscate her actual identity and to obfuscate her ties to Kiwifarms.

At this point, I think the "only a small portion of the fandom is full of degenerates and deviants" crowd needs to accept that something has happened and that there's no excuse for whatever they try to pull to the normies that only a small, tiny smidge of furries are full of it. If they're not into ABDL, they're sure into equally worse kinks.

Wait a fucking second, didn't FurAffinity ban babyfur and cub stuff a while back? Wasn't that a entire fucking massive shitshow that the farms laughed at?

And now they put babyfurs on the banner? Against the rules they themselves pushed?

I got a feeling this is the real reason there is drama going on. It's blatant hypocrisy.

It was a LONG time ago. I outlined it a while back in this thread but it's been a bit so:

Dragoneer, who had known cub fetishes, opened the discussion about cub porn on FA - it is believed this was driven by his then-burgeoning romance with Sciggles, who now owns the site.
He called a public vote, which ended, utterly improbably, in a tie. Dragoneer then cast the deciding vote for the ban. Was he putting his thumb on the scales so he could please his ho? You tell me.

And now Scigs caters to babyfurs, though the porn remains banned. The '3.7' referenced by one of the jannies is a new policy that - to be fair - fairly lightly loosens the rules but doesn't reverse the ban.

Keep in mind, that's a talking point that is as old as 2008 and likely a few years older than that. It wasn't true then and it's absolutely not true today, it's a horribly outdated assessment that they just won't stop parroting.

The debate about ABDL shit goes years further than that - as you allude.

The debate about degneracy in general goes WAY the fuck back, with the Confurence 8 debacle being one of the first open arguments about it.
