The situation with janitorial work, construction, and farm work is different.

Janitorial work/ hospitality used to be done by high school kids because the work is located in more densely populated areas. High school/college boys used to work summer jobs "scrapping up" on construction job sites.

Both types of jobs used to help pay for college or a first car.

Farm work is more difficult to staff if it is remote from population centers.

At the end of the day, I would rather have no blueberries and no illegals than an unending stream of them both.
the thing is its not even true that we wont have blueberries, its just we wont have the current business model survive, the current business model being fuck american workers i have slave labor bitch, and then moralizing when their immoral options are removed. itd be like saying we wont have cotton just because r jewstein cant have his business succeed without unlimited free cotton picking labor.

I will proudly admit that I get my news from Kiwi Farms.
idk, I like this place because people tend to think before they write. then again, the only thing that sucks is you don't get any ACTUAL left wing opinions, to figure out holes in arguments. you only really see mainstream "left/troonslop" takes. then again, socialists, communists, and anarchists don't have a proper news source outside of the daily beast.

Yeah Im not buying the 'hurr durr, you need manual labor".
Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin in 1794. With AI and modern machinery, we can innovate and drive the cost down.

Manual labor won't go away, but some of the sperging sounds more like dooming rather than finding a solution.
You do need it when your population size never stops growing with niggers and imports.

reminder that companies that hire illegals also pay them pennies on the dollars and are usually vastly under paying these people.

The ONLY reason people love illegals is because they dont have to pay them legal american wages, this is just slave labor, not about human rights
Hey now, it's nothing like slavery.

You had to feed and shelter slaves when they weren't working.

Undocumented Contract Laborers, however.......

Crops that actually feed people and animals, things like corn, wheat, etc. are all almost entirely farmed with huge machines and don't need as much immigrant labor.
Fruits are great, and are probably my favorite food group, but I would pay $40 for a box of strawberries if it meant I never had to see a spic or chink in my life ever again.
I worked on a dairy and beef farm for years. The beef side requires sod all people. the cows are out in teh fields most of their life. And with the dairy it isn't that many people. Most farms now have automatic milking.

We also did some arable which was more labor intensive but if there wasn't enough labor we could easily have just done more dairy and more beef.

Actually parking your car downtown and letting trannies and Mexicans blow it up and collecting insurance money is a p good idea

There is no excuse for hiring illegals when there is the H-2A visa program for farms.
https://www.farmers.gov/working-with-us/h2a-visa-program
If the need is really so great then they can hire H-2A's and respect labor laws and treat them fairly. And if your doing that then maybe local labor might actually be competitive. Because if your going to have to pay legal wages and OT might as well try hire locally to have not deal with the H-2A paperwork. And if a H-2A over stays their visa they are banned from the USA for life. So most will just follow the law and go home when the job is done.

Farmers who say they NEED illegals would rather just have a slave class they can work for $5/hr for 12hrs a day. It's just pure greed.
Fuck blueberries. .

Slaves were also kind of an investment considering they cost a lot of money up front to get them as property in the first place. How replaceable are illegal workers if you fire one at the drop of the hat? Somehow the modern situation has some of the worst aspects of economic systems the American pro-slavery and anti-slavery advocates were arguing about in the 19th century.

You see, blueberry picking is just too complicated!

One could not POSSIBLY automate this with machinery, it would be too costly and high tech!!!
Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and boysenberries must be picked by hand. Blueberries are pretty sturdy and grow on bushes. Strawberries are easily squished and grow on groundcover-type foliage. Raspberries, boysenberries, and blackberries grow on vines, or canes, and are also easily squished. Hope this helps you distinguish the difference between sturdy berries like blueberries and cranberries, and the rest of the berries that are too delicate to be machine harvested.
