We should absolutely be willing to destroy assets and personnel of a regime that murdered 241 Marines in Beirut, took 66 Americans hostage for 444 days, provided lethal aid to the insurgency in Iraq which led to the deaths of untold numbers of U.S. troops and continues to fund/arm terrorist groups presently attacking U.S. naval vessels.

If that’s ‘not our fight’….we’re just not a country willing to defend its people and interests.

While this whole situation is going on with Iran, it's interesting to think of the parallels it has with Israel's activities in 1980s, Operation Opera and the Begin Doctrine.

And how did persecuting fellow Christians work out for the Catholic powers of Europe? As France languished in the chains of absolutism, the Huguenots contributed towards the prosperity of the Dutch Republic and the True Freedom fostered by its state. Maybe persecuting your intelligentsia is not conductive towards establishing prosperous, free states. I am sure that the average Iranian is extremely happy living in an Islamic Republic rather than enjoying the luxuries of their neighbours across the gulf.

It's important to remind that Iran has been behind the entire clusterfuck Israel is in the last 2 years. They were an integral part of starting the war in Gaza - funding and supporting Hamas, Hezoballah, Syria and the Houthis, with Russian support behind them.

2 years later Hamas is basically a skeleton crew doing a hit and run tactics, Hezoballah is gone leaving their dicks behind, Syria had a regime change courtesy of Turkey, the Houthis are still a joke and Russia was shown to be incredibly ineffectual. They are alone on the chess table and rather than back down they tried to continue with the nuclear problem that not a single country in the region would support considering that it can easily be used against them, or they'll be affected by the nuclear fallout.

The only western military in the middle east is Israel and Saudi Arabia all other powers in the region are to weak, to corrupt, don’t want to ruin their oil industry or are on Israel’s payroll
Litterally total israeli dominance over the Arabic world, maybe Saudi oil money could challenge them
