With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

not going to lie, being in a house they've already used, them all/mostly being fans and the lack of any Burt/Alex crazy types (so far) already makes me less hyped for this than S3. however, im not going to be the average Fishtank fan and shit on it outright and say its doomed to fail. just that they're really going to need a big twist or something crazy to compete with S3. honestly, i dont know if the first half of S3 can ever be topped. Famous House into the Fishtank reveal was too perfect.

Let Daniel, Freddie, and Jin cook. They all three seem like they could get weird when they start getting acclimated in the tank. Daniel has already had some possible foreshadowing of going nuts later on.

Angelina needs to fucking leave though, she's pissing me off. And I suspect that Ellie is going to be the newest simpbait and will probably coast to the end protected.

I'm not a big fan of how ultra self aware they are about Fishtank. They are all so self conscious about their actions and how the audience will think of them and the kind of humor the audience likes. I'm getting s2 flashbacks and I don't like it. At least s1 and s3 didn't have that factor with their fish.

i think this season has potential. they just gotta kick out the annoying one and then i think this season will be a lot of fun

Sometimes a fish can be so autistic or mentally ill that it outpaces their self-awareness. Cole was like that, Jimmy was like that, Summer was like that. I think Daniel is the next incarnation of that phenomenon.
