With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Jet specifically said no cringe superfans and Angelina is the epitome of that. constantly referencing past seasons and putting on for the camera is extreme cringe.

Daniel and the Australian chick seem like they have the most potential so far, imo. Jin seems chill, but almost too chill to where he wont contribute much in terms of content.

I enjoyed that Direnc immediately shit on Angelina for being a pothead just for Angelina to shit on Direnc for being a crackhead. The rivalry started there.

Who could blame her?
I usually don't judge fish this fast, but Angelina is already in the running of most annoying fish of all time. It even took me longer to hate Hayley (and I'm a #1 Hayley hater!).
She keeps saying single sentences in this extra fake high pitched voice and I genuinely can't tell whether she thinks this comes of as cute, or she's actually trying to come of as bitchy.

Someone on 4chan made a good post not too long ago about how fishtank has already started to become too meta/self-referential which was something that took shows like Big Brother years to reach. We are only 4 seasons in and we’re already getting “nostalgic” callback seasons.
 
Elli might be a sleeper. she comes off as too chill/shy. for a girl as attractive as her to volunteer to be on a show like Fishtank, knowing what it is, she probably has a few screws loose and will break out in some BPD/bipolar episode eventually. maybe.

Hayley?

Yeah Angelina is going to get the opposite reaction she expects. Glad we got a couple of fish that are low energy, you need a couple of them. Only archetype we are really missing is a goofy wildcard. This cast is very talkative so far which is good. S1 had a lot of shy people.
