This is extremely accurate and I'd like to add a bit for anyone who brushed through and didn't appreciate it. Addictions to ACTUAL drugs are an entirely different monster than behavioral addictions, which are honestly closer to a full blown mental illness.

When someone decides to snort something that hijacks their brain chemistry and replaces everything they love with the drug? They're still responsible for doing the drug in the first place, but the effects on their brain are outside their control. People can't realistically DECIDE to stop being addicted to heroin. It's not an option...

Oh wow, that's actually the same account that has been being a dent in DSP's chat. Knowing DSP's unironic fans, it's kinda hard to pin down, but there are two main possibilities: either it's a legit, unironic (extremely retarded and autistic) fan, who can't tell the difference between DSP's content and obvious detractor content, and just blissfully comments on anything DSP-related. On the other hand, it could very well be a troll, since the account has been spotted commenting on at least two detractor channels (Raw Phil and ALT). And according to a SuperChat during the latest late stream, Eva was on some other detractor channel as well:

One other thing that could be an indication of Eva being a troll, is their pretty much perfect English/grammar, which is very rare for the typical super dent. Anyway, as someone mentioned earlier: whether they are a legit fan or not, they're extra retarded anyway.

Something very odd going on between King Furbs and Evacowboy. Just slight mentions and you are sent to band world. Either they trying some Gayop or are legit dented dents, I do not know or care. But Youtube chat is locked down extra tight, not a huge loss it has been so boring lately.

Even if we put aside the autism/low intelligence/self-awareness topic aside, let's factor the things we objectively know about Phil:

* Has a shit sleep schedule
* Has a shit diet
* Doesn't do any physical activity
* Doesn't have any friends
* Doesn't have any hobbies or interests beyond gacha

Alcohol addiction is another major factor that you haven't mentioned. Alcohol causes you to feel like shit after it wears off due to altering your brain chemistry and addiction to alcohol obviously causes that to happen all the time. Alcoholism and depression often go hand in hand, depressed people often resort to alcoholism or alcoholism may cause depression, they feed into each other.

It's been discussed, my favorite combination of theories are that most folks who are under the age of 40 are more or less terminally online, what with having your phone by your side at all times, so they use the internet and stumble onto DSP, the stupid ones (including us) stick around to chat with folks that share an interest. Combine that with the fact that he is streaming 6 days a week, twice a day gives the regularity that "hyper-fixated" people enjoy (I don't think of it as autistic per se, more like boomers that know JAG is coming on after Law & Order on channel 9, followed by 60 minutes on channel 5, etc.) so the same retards know what time to show up and if they have extra nickels to throw at DSP, they can get ass pats from their online fwends for helping DSP out.

Yeah, but that enters on the "speculation" part of Phil's lifestyle since we don't know for sure the extent of his drinking.
Does Phil drink on stream? Does he hit the gin every night? Is he hungover the next morning? I mean sure, speculation about it is most likely 95% accurate, based on things like Phil being able to chug big shots of hard liquor like water, or my personal favorite of Phil having a bunch of bottles for a marathon in one month and by the next saying he needs to buy more as he ran out of liquor (like 3-4 almost full bottles). We don't know for certain, unlike things like Phil's frozen pizzas and him calling them "snacks".

For example, I don't think Phil is truly a full-blown alcoholic more than he is a hedonistic, dopamine-addict piece of shit. I think he said he's an alcoholic merely to avoid an ass kicking, because I don't recall early Phil ever bringing up alcoholism. I could be wrong, but it seems he only ever brought that up to avoid Jaha beating the shit out of him. Phil seems to fall more on the "functioning alcoholic" category but even that would be giving Phil too much credit, since he's not any smarter or more competent when he's sober. I say that because he has zero impulse control. He is addicted to instant gratification, so if he had an actual heavy addiction to alcohol I think we'd see it physically, but I guess this is where the "Phil is drinking all day" folks get some credibility. The way I see it, Phil falls on the same category of people who get irritated when they don't get their morning coffee or a smoke break. That's a mild addiction, but not enough to get the sweats or get withdrawal symptoms. And all that is without mentioning how retarded and nonsensical is the "recovered alcoholic" thing. For me, that alone completely shatters the idea that Phil is truly an alcoholic, since he gave himself the diagnosis and then found the cure for it. How convenient.

Regardless of what you think about Phil's drinking, he 100% drinks more than he should, and he drinks enough for it to be detrimental to his health, which would also affect his brain chemistry. But who knows? I truly believe Phil can be both depressed and a full blown alcoholic but also too fucking retarded to know it because he's completely incapable of abstraction and introspection. I just think that, if Phil was a heavy alcoholic, his body would urge him to keep drinking. I picture Phil similar to Homer Simpson and his brain, where Homer's brain is smarter than Homer and often tells him what he needs because Homer can't figure it out.

I don’t drink much anymore, but I do keep some radlers and some White Claw beverages available because I’m gay.. He drinks those White Claw Surge drinks at room temperature which is some peak degeneracy. They’re not pleasant to drink when they’ve warmed up, and the flavors aren’t nearly as tolerable as the regular variety (the Blood Orange, which he seems to favor, is honestly the best one). You’re drinking Surge because you want to get drunk, not because you enjoy the flavor. They’re sharp and bitter.

I loved the first few American Trucker streams where he pretends to “try” a new flavor of the White Claw. He and his fat ass wife DoorDash slop every night He just needs to accept that he’s an alcoholic and loves to eat bullshit. All of this talk about him only drinking on occasion and eating “big ass turkey burgers” is a lie that no one buys. Outside of the latest DSP Tries It, he has eaten something turkey every night.
