Love how they're all "We were peaceful until the National Guard/Marines/cops showed up!"
Very much like an abuser telling their victim "you made me hit you, I didn't even want to fight!"

One thing I'm glad of, is the reaction to this mess.
People are looking at it and saying, "That is a riot. Those folks should stop doing that."
Back in 2020 if you pointed out the rioting, you were told it was peaceful and if you insisted then you were told that yes it's a riot but it has to happen. Remember that shit?

Ace of Spades HQ had a post arguing the importance of having more these parades for numerous reasons, among them to re-establish a relationship between the American citizenry and the armed forces.
I think the theatrical side of politics is something of a lost art, but important in the formation of a common identity. Even the theater kids aren't good at theatrics anymore.

Part of what's missing is the mass corporate manufacturing of consent that accompanied BLM. Sure, Corporate America might have more of a direct stake in illegal labor than they did with race relations but you're not seeing Target change their logo to a Mexican flag. Yet.

As a reminder, the Feds have had a hand to play in these riots in the hopes to destroy homogeneous communities that simply want to be left alone since '60s. The Community Relations Service, which came into being from LBJ from the Civil Rights Act, is a properly conspiratorially evil organization. In their hubris, they published a book called "America's Peacemakers" that gloats about their "achievements" in diversifying America. I hate the Feds. Hate. Hate. Hate.

Ironic the SJWs are having these "No Kings" protests, when they want totalitarian control themselves. And had Harris "won", there'd be even more "woke" control going on now.

And they'll still refuse to confront that reality. Because they're still right about Trump being a King because he's a dictator, you see. Are those 2 things the same thing? No, but ackshually yes, because. Regardless, how is he a dictator? Well they can't tell you why, they can only tell you he is. How is he a King? Because he's a dictator.

And "woke", you say? Woke is just about being a good person bro, it has nothing to do with control and forced submission at the altar of it. And ackshually Harris would have just been the innocent widdle President, not a dictator, not a puppet, would never have exhibited totalitarian traits. Why? Because there's a D next to her name, and her fucking mouth.

Must be that darned Fox News, the singular right leaning television station on cable, brainwashing us all into thinking the left has lost the plot, and X (we'll just ignore the decade+ long control the left had over the platform and the broader internet, and media, and music, and television, and movies, and video games).

How much you wanna bet Trump's approval rating craters after this?
Zero Dollars I now know his approval rating is going to be tremendous thank you for telling me so.
his entire administration lost all credibility in my eyes when he outright said he would import 500,000 Chinese immigrants to take our jobs.
Now that's a lie if I ever heard one doomer child you clearly never believed in this administration

I genuinely don't understand the "No Kings" protests.

What did it accomplish? What were the reasons? Did it call for any action beyond "Orange Man bad"?
The only takeaways I got from it were that its just beaners who were unhappy with getting deported, boomers angry about DOGE cuts, barren women angry about abortion and people supporting a hollow, tired message.
Trump's only signs of being a 'king' was the funny AI meme he posted, and trolling the media with 3rd term jokingly. I expected more sperging about the war in Iran tbh.

It just so happens that Trumps birthday and the 250th anniversary of the army coincide together.
The parade was more like the 4th of July event they do every year combined with a marketing campaign for the army.

This cycles protest was more gay and retarded than the "Stop Elon" protests. Accomplished nothing except it made me laugh seeing the attendees sperging out. Most attendees looked like beaners and MSNBC brainrotted boomers.

If they were truly peaceful, they'd react to the National Guard showing up by approaching them with flowers and hugs. Put down the signs and the molotov cocktails, and approach the Guard with the tender warmth of love and care. Let them know that you're on their side, while the people barking orders at them are not. That's how you win them over to your side, and you convince them that their superiors are giving them bad orders.

Resisting just makes the Guard think Trump was right to send them in.

Modern Japan's attitude towards World War II is either detached acknowledgement or to think more about how they were affected. They've never felt guilty about the war in the same way the Germans did, they never will.
And arguably our relationship with Japan is better than our relationship with Germany, at least as a trade partner. At least that's my impression.

Ultimately the best move is just to take the L and not dwell on it.
Say "oh well, we got fucking wrecked, let's move on now", rebuild, don't self-flagellate, don't grovel, just move on.
Having the reaction Germany did makes you look fucking pathetic and stifles growth. Take notes kiwis, this applies to taking personal Ls as well.

What did it accomplish? What were the reasons? Did it call for any action beyond "Orange Man bad"?
They got to state publicly that they don't like trump. That's pretty much it.
It's the same as people screaming "You saying that word OFFENDS ME!!!?"
Okay, and? You can not like it, and I can not give a shit. It's a toddler tantrum with more property damage and graffiti, instead of thrown toys and crayon drawings on the wall.

I dont understand their claims of tyranny.

He ran on the platform of kicking the illegals out.

America voted him in

He is now keeping his promise.

Just because you don't like what he is doing doesn't mean what he's doing is the action of a dictator

Because it was never about deportations, and it never will be. They wanted Trump's second term to be as hamstrung as the first. As long as he came in, didn't touch anything, and left, they could deal with that. He touched the system. He started acting like an ACTUAL president. None of these powers are new, and all existed prior to his election. They only have a problem that HE is using them instead of someone they want.

The Portland police are doing sod all to stop the antifa from attacking the ICE facility. IMO, it confirms what trump said about what would have happened in LA if he hadn't sent in teh national guard to protect the federal properties

Holy shit as I say that the cops started shooting non lethal rounds at rioters from roof and hit the streamer.

I'm only catching up on watching the actual parade now. Yeah, the marching looked like ass but I'm a sucker for that type of historical progression with the matching period-accurate uniforms. I think they left out one important era, however.
I like the shit marching. It honestly humanizes them. This wasn't a show of strength, it was a celebration.
