The narrative is that the protests were 'peaceful' until Trump randomly deployed the National Guard for no reason other than evil fascist intimidation, which then caused the LAPD to start randomly attacking 'peaceful' protesters which then forced them to start burning and looting random stores and cars in self defense.

why don't they throw the white protestors they arrest into those LA mega jails i see on tv where it is like 20 big black niggers in one room with 10 beds. being for a couple of nights would get the word out to behave.

also of the streams i can find the portland andy one looks like the closest to a happening with a load of antifa in front of an ICE facility (i think).

There's a very real chance the transhumanists are right, if so and they make it to 2060 life extension might take them to 3000+. The youngest, most spoilt of the boomers we might never be rid of.

(Of course in reality that tech will be reserved for "important" people not useless eaters like the plebians, but... Yeah.)

Trump was in a no win situation here. If he went over the top, the media and left would accuse him of being a disrespectful showman that doesn't care about the military. If he didn't do anything, they'd accuse him of being disrespectful by ignoring such an important date.

A boring, by the books, military presentation that shows off the historical stuff and talks about it gives them nothing to attack him with. And it makes the "No Kings" idiots look pathetic overreacting boomers, especially given that no one showed up except old hippies that crashed out years ago. Add to that the fact that apparently a lefty went nuts and killed two lefty politicians for daring to vote against the far left orthodoxy and welp! It's not a good weekend for the Democrats.

Ace of Spades HQ had a post arguing the importance of having more of these parades for numerous reasons, among them to re-establish a relationship between the American citizenry and the armed forces.

The boomer concept of activism has been dying a violent & undignified death over the past few years, and that's really one of the best things that can happen for America.

Aside from the obvious (Hollywood and academia are full of Jews), there's also the fact that Germany spent the decades following the war wallowing in their guilt over it, while Japan didn't. Germany basically turned their guilt over the war into a state-mandated religion, and if anything they cling to that guilt even harder today than they have in the past. Japan did the opposite, putting their part in the war behind them. Modern Japan's attitude towards World War II is either detached acknowledgement or to think more about how they were affected. They've never felt guilty about the war in the same way the Germans did, they never will.

Really, they're better off for it.

There's also the fact that Americans cared more about Europeans than they did the victims of Japan's atrocities, on account of most Americans being descendants of Europeans.

One thing I'm glad of, is the reaction to this mess.
People are looking at it and saying, "That is a riot. Those folks should stop doing that."
Back in 2020 if you pointed out the rioting, you were told it was peaceful and if you insisted then you were told that yes it's a riot but it has to happen. Remember that shit?
