We don't need to. The US Army is the most lethal fighting force on the planet and its not even close. This is an exceptional event for the 250 year anniversary. We are humble unlike most nations.
I don't think US and "humble" should be in the same sentance. We are very flashy and love to flex constantly, that is why we do shit like Airforce flyover during the super bowl.

Our form of flashy isn't blasting the CnC Soviet March over a parade with everyone in sync. It's showing off our cool shit. There's a difference

"Yeah, bro, why are you freaking the fuck out? Why are you having such a melt down? This is winning, can you calm down, okay?? It's just war, bro, just a little military action. It's not a full war, so he's still anti-war. We're not doing mass deportings but some people got deported, so are can you just accept it, okay?? The Epstein Files were released, can you ever be happy, okay??"
No amount of you embarassing yourself gonna change anyone's mind in this thread, faggot. You ought to have understood that in the last few days

Seems like most people agree it was a mistake, needless loss of life to feed the military industrial complex.

"trAItoR" - Yeah, because false flags aren't real.

These sorts of comments make me more anti-US/NATO the longer I live.
Wars being unjustified, or a waste of life is a very common sentiment for everyone of every nation for every war ever fought. You could say, and reasonably argue every war the US has ever been involved was an unnecessary war, and/or a started by a lie except the revolution. However because a war is unjust, or happened because of a lie doesn't mean we shouldn't honor the actions of the brave men that fought them. If anything we owe the veterans of Vietnam, or Iraq more respect because they were asked to fight for a lie. We should be more keen of their actions, their sacrifices, of the men who didn't come back alive because we have a duty to them, and the next generation of Americans to not get entangled in unnecessary foreign affairs. And given Trump's recent refusal to get involved in Iran on behalf of Israel, it seems he knows that lesson.

A parade is a great opportunity for a military to present itself to the public and the world as something well ordered and attractive. If you go outside, do you not iron your shirt and take a shower so you look presentable?
I don't see your issue, they look presentable to me. They are groomed, in uniform and I haven't seen a single issue with any of the vehicles be it condition or mechanical. I happen to remember Russia having multiple Tank breakdowns during they're past parades.

This parade was not meant to show the army's might. It was just to honor them and for the branches 250th birthday and that's what this is. It's basically a 4 hour edutainment lesson in armed forces history and let's people see the military in a non- intimidating way. You and I may have wanted more but the average American is enjoying the show. Look at the families in the crowd they are smiling and having fun. It's good for the service members too. They look and see the people they protect and serve cheering and waiving for them. This is probably the most appreciated they have felt in a long time. I'm surprised they planned this in less than 2 monthsand haven't had more/any problems.

All I’ve seen so far is an announcer talking about historical military vehicles and their manufacturers.

That’s neat. We should do this more.
I do wonder how many people in their 20's, 30's and 40's even know about these events and what they were about. Even if we were the "bad guys" in the conflict.

It would be interesting to see if this is thaught at schools and how is it thaught.

One thing I hate about this line of thinking, and I don't completely disagree with you but this ought to be said anyway, is that kids now are bombarded with this idea everything they like is worse than whatever their parents enjoyed as kids. You can't blame them for being neurotic when the older people they're meant to look up to are always displeased or having an episode. Most of what we liked was absolute dreck anyway.
It depends. Most of the stuff many kids are into now are not the stuff their parents or teachers try to show them; it's the dark side of Kids' Youtube where you have things like Skibidi Toilet or some YTP content filled with adult language or humor. When kids say "gyatt", it means ass, and teachers wonder where kids get that stuff.

That, and the older kids do enjoy the stuff their parents enjoyed, especially anime. I've met kids who didn't know anything about Batman or Spider Man, yet they can lecture me, in great detail, concerning the entire Uchiha Clan history and why Itachi Uchiha had to kill them all. They even make anime fanart of recent anime titles and titles that their parents grew up with.

Oh, and they're very politically incorrect. Their reaction to gay people is to tell them to get fucked.
