America would need to deploy hundreds of thousands of troops to match a Desert Storm level of force, with a much smaller army than in 1991 or 2003. America has a fairly small number of combat units for it's size, but the immense cost comes from being able to use most of them as an expeditionary force, which no other country currently comes even close to matching.

This will also take months, cannot be concealed, and will be deathly unpopular the entire time. I've already explained earlier that IMO, Israel is simply paving the way for US bombers to finish the job without risk of losses.

People are hardly reasonable during times of war.

As I've mentioned before, anyone who thinks they'll get drafted to fight Iran has a room temp IQ. Our current forces already dwarf theirs multiple times over so there wouldn't be a need for a draft and if manpower was really needed, the inactive reserve would get called up first i.e Those whom have just been recently discharged.

All of this is barring the fact that we're not going anywhere regardless
