If it was any other case, a simple military governor wouldn't be 'Ultranationalist' so it is very much is a Chinese Generalplan Ost.

Does it though? As I understand it, in the civilian pop section, it goes like "actual population/desired population". As you can see comparing the first and second pics, actual civilian population has actually increased.

Civilian population might look like it has increased, but the second number next to it is lower. The first number should probably go down, but I think a bug is getting in the way because to my knowledge, PDX never intended for the monthly pop factor to go into the negatives.

Is TFR supposed to be boring or did I go down a wrong path. I went Le Pen France thinking there'd be some funny schizo stuff and got nothing but I'm assume I missed some military coup or some shit.

Because you are going with the normalfag paths with the (arguably) most normalfag country. You usually get the schizo paths by losing whatever war you have at the beggining, for China is the Taiwan war, and for Russia/EU countries it's the first euro war. Then you get some real schizo paths

Protip, play Germany & lose the first war, choose the left path in the econ tree and rush "Implement corporate governance". Have fun.

About halfway through my Gunther play through, I was getting set up to roll Russia before I called it a night. It’s been a hoot so far and seeing his happy little face as the country leader gives me a chuckle.

If you too want to play the Guntherreich, here’s the steps.
  1. Set gameplay rules to have Medvedev
  2. Play Germany, go Cdu (not sure if it needs to be cdu/Conservative particularity, but that’s what I did)
  3. Get rolled by Russia in the first Europe war
  4. After the war you’ll get an option to put the EPP in power (right side, central branch).
  5. Don’t take the Realpolitik option
  6. Make Gunther the Foreign minister
  7. Complete Government of National Emergency option, then wait a few in game days
  8. Welcome to the Guntherreich, it’s time for Serbia to pay.
