2025 Israel vs Iran War

If Iran was handing out any "Fusion energy" related subsidies then they might know how to breed tritium in a large enough quantity (and the possesses the knowledge) to make a functional thermonuke
It is easier to make tritium in situ using lithium charge
Tritium designs are of late - obsolete

He managed to get an Azerbaijani visa and leave Iran. Tiktok

Huge thanks to my friend @lavenam for helping me get an Azerbaijani visa—and to the U.S. Embassy in Baku for the emergency green light to enter the country. I’m out, and truly grateful for all your prayers, messages, and support. It’s an honor to have you following this journey and caring about my wellbeing out here in the Middle East.
The most harrowing part of the day was the exit interviews with Iranian officials at the border. No footage of that (for obvious reasons) but I’ll write more about it soon on Substack if you're curious.
And finally, to my Iranian guide Reza—there’s no one I’d rather have had by my side.
I’m out—but the conflict is just beginning. I’ll be keeping normal Iranians and Israelis in my thoughts. Especially the younger generation of Iran, who keep paying the price for decisions made by their fathers and grandfathers. There’s a phrase in Persian that roughly means: “the forgotten generation.” That feels true.
The journey continues soon. Thank you again.

Dude was insanely lucky. Its always been obnoxious to me that its so difficult to visit Iran. Those Persian ruins and their national museum are fucking legit as shit. I would love to see them.

As in, having lithium-6 inside of the bomb and rely upon the radiation produced by the detonation (assisted with beryllium I'd assume) instead of just straight up tritium. Do these designs still include deuterium or are they just having straight hydrogen in there instead too?

A treaty between two monarchies can go tits up because one king dies and his impressionable son takes over and nixes it
Kings tend to rule longer than 4 years. In addition, there are things to consider like kings having a much higher incentive to keep the country in good standing and prosperous in the long term because they have a direct familial tie to the health of the nation, rather than getting your time in office, milking what money you can, and fucking off like elected politicians do.

Just one more attempt at nation building in the Middle East, bro, come on, you know I'm good for it, I can quit whenever I want
Only thing that worked in middle east is installing a king and a line of royalty/elites.

We can't rely on democracy to govern these savages. Sooner or later, they will become barbaric again

Let's list the middle east nations that are somewhat successful

1. Saudi Arabia - princes and royalty
2. Kuwait - same
3. Qatar - same
4. Oman - same.
5. Jordan - same

Let's list the nations are falling apart or shit holes

1. Egypt - "democracy"
2. Libya - "democracy"
3. Syria - military dictatorship
4. Lebanon - "democracy
5. Iraq - "democracy".
6. Afghanistan - "democracy" until tribe fundamentalists took over
7. Pakistan - "democracy"
8. Turkey - "democracy" with 200% inflation
9. Yemen - "lol"

Technically, sub and ship reactors run with only 80% enrichment or more so they are way more compact and responsive.
They also do that to avoid refueling, which takes years and costs big $$$, they basically cut the sub apart and weld it back together after. Current gen US and Bong subs only need to be refueled every 20 years or so, the newest gen is going to be lifetime fuel from the shipyard. The French are retards and insist on using civilian grade in their subs and the CDG so they need to be refueled every few years.

Iran has basically shown that there is no sure-fire way to stop a warhead from getting through.
I mean, there is, but then it all gets political and gay. "At launch" has always been the best way (ie the YAL-1) but someone has to pay the bills and you're always left with the grey area of what constitutes a first strike. Launch detection is a piece of piss and has been for decades, and it only gets faster and easier if you know where the hot zone is. This isn't the 90s where you had to have some poor cunt looking for Scuds in the desert.

To put it in perspective, there has been a 12-20 minute turnaround time for whatever Iran has thrown at Israel (excluding drones) and the air defenses have been a hell of a lot more effective than what I would have expected them to be.

At this rate we'll be going back to the Super Gun days (and thats a good thing).

The issue is that democracy over there turns into factionalism almost instantly, and those factions tend to be hyper aggressive fundamentalists.
i don't disagree but fundamentalists have too much power in the islamic world. It is nearly impossible to sustain a functioning democracy with the hardliners.

Kings and hereditory dictorship have moderated the fundamentalism in Islam and over time stabilized it's barbaric impulses.

You can use either but lithium deuteride gives way better yield (H-H fusion and H-T requires way higher energies than T-D) If you are a broke ass shithole that doesn't have the ability to make Li6 you can still do it with bog standard Li7, but you will drop in yield due to greater consumption of neutrons and off side reactions.
It is still enough to make a "slojka" russian design fusionable and from there on it's much easier to stage designs as you have a good source of neutrons and xrays available to spark off next stages.
With a neutron initiator you can drop down critical mass 20% but I doubt anyone but russians has reactors good enough to make this (Polonium) anymore.
Anyhow, the process to plutonium bomb is via the uranium tests. I doubt anyone in the world can pull it off straight to thermonuclear age without intermediates. Maybe with external help and parts yes, otherwise no.

There are some more advanced designs with plutonium deuteride to improve yield but it's really more hassle than it's worth. Especially for breakthrough weapon. Plutonium sponge with lithium deuteride pit in middle is really about as easy as you can get to thermal nuke.
Significant issue or perhaps the most significant is adjusting the explosive lens so the compression effect benefits the reaction and creates a basically perfect sphere. With modern tech and sims we improved classic RPG to achieve double penetration with induction of just a plastic spacer and everything else being the same. I would imagine something similar is used in modern designs as well. (Spacer lenses the charge, making the jet formation uniform)

Edit: Plutonium weapons also need constant maintenance and remelting of a Pu sphere every 3-5 years due to Helium production in one of the decay chains. Sponge designs are better but the Uranium is way less maintenance intensive.
Tritium designs also neeeded charge replacement (Self decay) unless you accept lower yield.
So the Lithium pit is a bit more sustainable for a small nation.

BREAKING: Multiple Iranian state-owned TV stations have just been hacked. The hackers are now displaying messages which call for an uprising against the Islamic Regime.

This is just one of the many non lethal acts Israel carries out that just complete the complete military rogering that Israel has given to the Ayatollahs of Iran.

The Iranian Baghdad Bob says it has taken down Israel’s air defenses, paving the way for massive strikes.

Whether or not someone has posted it, it just emphasises for me or anyone how delusion the mullahs of Iran are trying to see if there's a face saving way out, but any of their people with only the state TV channels will be the last to know. Yet, it really isn't clear that the mullahs will be pushed from power. The Iranian opposition seem to be comfy, complacent exiles, or at least led by such. They seem to hope power will fall into their laps, at best.

All treaties are temporary brother, it's a core tenant of realism. A treaty between two monarchies can go tits up because one king dies and his impressionable son takes over and nixes it, or the king decides he's actually more related to your direct enemies bloodline, or he gets overthrown because he makes too many treaties with outsiders.
That is just international politics in general. Monarchies, Autocracies and Democracies all do it. The calculations of power are still the same. The issue Democracies have is their calculations can change every election depending on which coalition of power brokers is in charge. Monarchies tend to be fairly stable in their international relations, with the reigning Monarch being largely predictable given enough time on the throne. As you say that "can" change when a new King is crowned, or an existing King could become beholden to different interest groups in the government. These changes aren't as frequent though.

Monarchies ironically are incredibly stable, internationally. They have a greater problem internally in that opposing power blocks outside the favor of the Kings Court, which is just a fancy of way saying the coalition of power in charge, tend to agitate more. Leading to more frequent INTERNAL instability. Externally they are great. Once other countries leaders get to know the Monarch, understanding how a country will behave is like knowing your neighbor billy bob likes to shoot guns off every Saturday, but he don't mean nothin' by it. He does that every Saturday.

Incidentally this is why there hasn't been a second Korean War. The Kim dynasty might be blowhards, but everyone knows they are being blowhards for an internal audience and don't actually want a war. So whenever they do a "Epic Missile Test" everyone reacts with the appropriately theatrical horror, and then goes back to ignoring North Korea.
