Legitimate question: how many people actually voted for Trump primarily on the promise of no new foreign wars, rather than because he’d be better on domestic issues? I was certainly thinking more about today’s ruling on trooning out children and this week’s ICE raids than Yemen and Iran in November.
I voted for him to dunk on cultists, so I'm happy.
I think that's the first time I've said this word on Kiwi Farms :story:
Search indicates you've used it before, but sparingly.

I warned you retards that Trump was going to do exactly this shit. You didn't listen to the Hulkster even though I've been right almost every time I've said shit like this. You fell for it again

You guys can admit I was right anytime now
nigga if you think for a second that war with iran isn't on the table with any AIPAC approved candidate you're not taking your vitamins

I am for what Trump is for. He wants this, guess I'm in.
That's really pathetic. Your president is not a king.

Being clear, my dad is a Gulf War vet, and that makes him VERY pro Isreal and fuck Iran. That's honestly where a lot of my opinions formed
Tell your dad that he's a vet for the retarded whims of politicians who wouldn't survive a day in boot camp/

I voted Trump for immigration and the economy. I couldn't give less of a shit about the Middle East. The way I see it we're going to be throwing money at it for the foreseeable future no matter what, war or no war. So I can't hold it against Trump really.

There's obviously never gonna be a draft since the backlash will be even worse than Vietnam if they want boots on the ground. Anyone in the military who goes to the Middle East has only themselves to blame at this point.

Whatever happened to you retards saying you love Trump for not getting us involved in middle eastern wars? Oh, right, you love anything that fatty does
Trump assassinated Soleimani, bombed ISIS, bombed Yemen, and Assad's chemical weapon plants in his first time. None of them got us involved in a Bush-style war. In his second term, he bombed the Houthis. Again, no regime-change style war. If you look at the facts, and not stuff through the lens of your Trump style derangement, you kinda can see Trump's realpolitik. His policy is to expand American soft power without getting bogged down into endless conflicts. That's also why you see him pressuring Europe to take on Russia, and not the U.S.

His strategy has been pretty consistent; so has his belief Iran should never have a nuclear weapon.

More than one of my family members killed communists, so for me it's a blood feud.

We should have turned Iran into a soulless strip mall for what they did to the Marines in Beirut.

I voted for this, you kidding? My dad is hyped as fuck over the US going ham on Iran right now. I knew this from the beginning and I still voted for it.
"I knew he would bring us into another war in the Middle East that does nothing for us, trust the plan"

A lot of people voted for Trump based on vibes alone. Him going to UFC, Joe Rogan, being put in edits on TikTok with Creed in the background, etc. Thinking end of woke and DEI stuff would be based and cool. "This time it will be different," but also they wanted to see a lot of issues domestically fixed like immigration and the economic stuff people are dealing with now. I would argue most people still voted for him on "no new wars" as the joke at the time was if people voted for Kamala, we'd fight China.

How fast did he get banned? Two hours?
There's probably going to be at least a few prominent liberal voices that get a little frustrated with this new ban. Some of the more politically savvy liberal minds are getting a little frayed on their patience with the silencing of dissent that happens extremely quickly in liberal circles these days.

Commentary so I don't get raped by the mods:

Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism and uses proxy warfare to achieve its political aims in the region. If Iran obtains a nuclear weapon, there is a likelihood that it may distribute them to its proxies. These proxies likely have shitty safeguards, if there even are any, with regards to the weapons given to them by Iran. Ergo, Iran obtaining nuclear weapons is a huge threat to national security and cannot be allowed to happen.

Personally, I'm getting what I voted for. I don't like war but I don't see any other option Iran is offering. There is a time to beat swords into plowshares and a time to beat plowshares into swords. I personally think this is the latter.
