I have been researching how to take my 2 cats overseas for an extended stay. There really isn't any such thing as a "pet passport", like a certificate; it's just all the documentation you need to gather together. So press DOUBT on whatever thing she was blurring out for "proivacy". You also need an airline-approved softsided carrier that will fit under the seat in front of you. Some airlines (most?) don't allow cats in the cabin at all, meaning they have to go into the hold. Some airlines don't allow flat faced animals like Persian cats and French bulldogs to fly...Julia is not *totally* flat faced, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was disallowed. And definitely not in that carrier shown with Salah.

I would not put a cat in the hold of an airplane. Dogs don't freak out as much as cats would IMHO. Plus they're generally used to holding in the need to pee/poo until they're "permitted". I don't know how a cat would manage.

While doing all my own research, I've been slowly coming to the conclusion that it probably wouldn't be practical OR kind to try to take 2 cats by air on a 7+ hour trip. The only person I personally knew who flew with a cat was taking a 2-3 hr trip, and Kuwait to Canada is 12+?

This is just what I've found out on my own, and I hope anyone with more/better info will chime in. I know it's breaking my heart to think about leaving my boys behind for 3 months or whatever.

Those are the two toes she most likely thinks are broken. The two smallest are the ones showing bruising, and broken toes bruise badly. The big toe and the one next to it just have broken nails, the bones are not actually broken or they would be swollen and bruised.

ETA: There really is no need for her to see a Dr for suspected broken toes. They don’t do anything for them if they confirm a break. At most they’ll tell you to strap them to the nearest unbroken toe, using that as a splint.

The Ontario Bariatric Network sets you up with a bariatric clinic and hospital. It’s free. You just pay for your protein shakes, vitamins and supplements. My clinic was in Ancaster and the I went to hospital was St Joseph’s in Hamilton.

It’s weird this myth keeps being repeated. It’s the only OHIP driven health care that is actually efficient.

I was going by the experience of Pixaley, a former Chantal reactor from Ottowa. She detailed her experience with the same bariatric clinic that Chantal went to, at around the same time. So that would also be her expectation if she could get another referral and get it accepted this time. Her second referral was rejected due to her non-compliance after the first referral.
