What he was asking for was more or less a fait accompli already. It specifically wasn't requested to haul him in.
The
proposed order by the County Attorney had the box checked for Aaron to appear in court, but had date left blank.
Peterson wrote in his letter that he request this matter be handled on Aaron's sentencing date.
Because that was a only a proposed order, the judge still technically had the option of ticking the box for a bench warrant, or setting the date for him to appear earlier. Instead she set the date to the 25th, as Peterson requested.
All that's going to happen is that Aaron is going to get a dressing down and get warned.
Given the date is the same as his sentencing, most likely yes. Because after the sentencing, he switches from conditional release to probation.
What this means though is Nick did one of his gay victory laps over nothing.
You can be happy, but Aaron shouldn't have done it, because he's legally prohibited from doing so. Ethan Ralph was also unable to legally respond to all of Mr. Vickers' and Mr. Morris' provocations.
I can't really speak much to Ralph popping off at Matthew Vickers and Harry Morris (though I will pause briefly to note that Vickers is a bit of a piece of work himself) because I don't follow Ralph all that closely.
What I
will say though... and you can take it or leave it... is that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that Aaron might not be legally permitted to offer any rebuttal to Nick's bullshit claim that he took a picture of Kayla serendipitously (I am not entirely sure what the exact prohibitions on Aaron are). That is to say, while the court might condemn Aaron for truthfully correcting the record as to how he acquired that picture of Kayla, I will not. He didn't make that up. It withstands scrutiny. We have the clip where he took the picture of Kayla as she was offscreen on his show, and Geno and Keanu confirmed that was the picture they received. Nick lied,
again. Had Aaron not done that, we we would still be debating the issue of how specifically he got a nude of Kayla.
So, yes, I am happy he did that.
You and I both know Nick made the claim he did to try and make Aaron look worse than he actually is, and to make Kayla seem like more of a victim than she actually is (when, in fact, she is an adulterous whore).
Now, obviously, an order is an order, and he should probably follow all lawful orders to keep himself out of trouble. My own opinion as the propriety of his actions be damned.
But, order or no order, I am personally not inclined to give him shit for explaining how he obtained that picture of Kayla in light of Nick trying to spin the bullshit narrative he did. I still think the man should be permitted to defend himself when appropriate.
