@Dread First I don't think there is a way to redeem Mormonism because it's a cynical view of Christianity and religion to begin with. Everything Joseph Smith did was clearly the actions of a lying grifter. Honestly Muhammed has some similar issues, we know historically that Muhammed was a blood thirsty pedophile, just like we know historically Joseph Smith was a grifting pervert. I frankly have no idea why Christians tolerate Mormons, or allow them to claim to be believers in Christ. They are a disgusting heresy who are cut from the same cloth as the merchants He whipped out of the temple.

(by the way I would actually quote your post but for some reason that isn't available)
I don't get to bring this up often but your post with "Mormonism" and "Muhammed" in it made me remember: Muslim Mormonism!

They have their own view of what happened with/to Jesus after the crucifixion.

And believe that he is buried here.

My favourite titbit is the founder's attempt to "prayer duel" a guy:

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad > Joseph Smith.
They also operate two whole hospitals for the less fortunate, one in Africa and one in Pakistan

Heresy? Almost definitely. Better than faith they're being heretical to (Sunni Islam)? Also yes.
Also Mirza was not a polygamist pedophile.

Utah will become a blue state by 2030, calling it right now. Texas is already well on its way.
Deliberately steering your metaphorical ship into a metaphorical iceberg because there’s someone you don’t like on board is a stupid fucking idea.
You might want to live in a state full of tax-dodging, tax-credit-claiming, cash-in-hand illegal workers who soak government services without paying for them in order to ‘own the chuds’ but most rational people would say you’re retarded.

The muslims hate us because they hate everybody who is not a muslim. They do the same thing to christians in Indonesia, they do the same shit in China and the same shit in India and they do this shit at home too, to each other. Stop blaming yourself or the jews or the CIA for the crimes that the muslims themselves commit. It's not healthy and it makes our problems worse. One day, this problem will be yours too, it's just a matter of time.
This is typical.

This narrative willfully or unwillfully ignores the fact that islamic terrorism has been ramped up because of the establishment of Israel in 1948, and how that establishment took place. Let's put aside/accept/ignore the Jewish narrative of zionism, and the concept that the jews have a "rightful place". Let's take it as a given and really look at it big picture.

There was no such thing as a muslim suicide bomber, or civilian terrorism before Qutbism, or the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Suicide is against Islamic clerical law, and didn't count as Martyrdom with the only exception relating to Shiite's view on the Battle of Karbala. There was no such thing as Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, or Hezbollah before Sykes-Picot, or the Balfour declaration.
Hell, Terrorism might as well be an invented term for the 1900s to describe war by any other means than a uniformed army, to create the concept that these are "crimes against humanity" all the while practical military strategy in modernity means everyone is putting missiles, troop, and gear in any useful civilian area, and "civilians" are considered to be potential combatants as soon as they go anywhere near a rifle. Hell you don't have to be a combatant, you can be a nuclear scientist working at a university who helps develop nuclear technology. Is that "terrorism" or is that just good old fashion "legal warfare" like how grandma made apple pie.

All of these "isms" like terrorism, racism, sexism, etc. were invented in the post-industrial revolution environment anyway and are just "guilt trip" mechanisms to make you feel bad, which is fuel for desiring retribution. It's why 9/11 led to insane outcomes that had nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden, with enemies and countries that had nothing to do with 9/11. THEY'RE A TERRORISM! GLASS EM!
So fucking what. So is your favorite baby killer faction whose flag you wave if I look up the history. I mean it was just a village of civilians, just write em down as Charlie.

There's a bifurcated cousin group on this planet that makes their existence everyone else's problem, claims that they're the chosen, does whatever it wants without care, subverts nations it inhabits in secret, and acts like they've never done anything wrong ever, and they're both shitting up reality and our collective experience of time. They both think they're the "real ones".

There hasn't been a major war in the last 100 years that wasn't somehow relating to these jewish/arab/oily interests. The Balfour declaration came out of WW1, which established the British mandate for Palestine. WW2 created the holocaust era, and 3 years later the establishment of Israel. All of the Communism-Capitalism cold war aspects resulted in dividing the west against the eastern axis which to this day still somehow exists, even though there shouldn't be a reason why Iran and Russia and China are somehow "allies" when they're historical rivals. Even though there's no "real" reason anymore for the US and Russia to be enemies if you believe that independent nations exist, or should exist and deal with each other diplomatically. No, we live in a continuous low level war of economic and ideological irritation, just like the cold war because unlike the cold war this war is religious and not one of political ideologies. Russia, China, Vietnam they could give less than a fuck about "communism" and the west has only become more socialistic and welfare state-like with their endless bureaus and regulations driven by corporate projects and state projections.

You literally cannot talk about any of this honestly without pointing that all of this is because jewish/muslim interests are tied in parallel to whatever else you're trying to say.
If the jews/muslims didn't exist (I'm just saying this theoretically, not with any kind of desire or intent) then what the fuck would everyone be fighting about today in the middle east? Huh? What would the big beef be over? fucking oil that is all over the place? gas that is all over the place? fuckin bananas? French people trying to own the Suez canal? Really? Communism that no one really believes in? Pan-Arab wars of competition?

How is it that the 42nd or so generation of desert people who lived and quarreled over house gods next to each other thousands of years ago are causing the primary schism and potential for world war today?
Whats that got to do with US politics? What the fuck?
That is my purse, I do not know you.

Somehow everyone is upset about sperging about jews and muslims. Ok.
But we're just supposed to ignore the jew/muslim spergery that these groups promote from their own mouths and with substantial money and time?
We're supposed to take a side, as if this religious strife is our problem?
Are we our own people in our own nations, or are we just useful to Jews/Muslims?

The "west" has literally had to deal with this conflict for thousands of years now. Our roman ancestors had to deal with this kind of tribal spergery then just like now.
Western man believes in an Abrahamic religion because of this. Christianity exists because of this. Islam exists because of this.
History for the last 2,500 years or so has been all about levantine/desert thoughts and ideas.

In reality: It isn't the year 5764. It isn't the year 1446. Hell it isn't even the year 2025.

Scientists say "um acktually its something like year 4.6b". Because of convenience, the power of tradition, and religious supremacy, we can't even agree on what year it is, so how are we going to agree on something like nuclear weapons, or borders?

As for modern day conflict:

What the fuck else conflict wise is going on in the world besides jews and muslims fighting? Africans who can't get civilization put together? Ukrainian proxy bullshit? Theres no mass killing going on that has as much money, time, technology, and effort put in as this jew/muslim oil and gas fueled spergery. Ukraine didn't get any of those F-35s, SEAD capabilities, or air defense, to go after Putin, but Israel has all the new toys. Ukraine fights for 3 years nonstop with old upgraded soviet garbage and leftover shit with the occasional HIMARS system or Patriot battery, yet Israel is somehow able to align the entire world towards defending its existence no matter the cost. They steadily destroyed the entire Shia militant network from the river to the sea, and the very thought that "wow this really is all about jewish/muslim ideas" is the big thing no one is allowed to point out, when its the reason all of this is happening, and has been happening since before the crusades and Muhammad even existed.
So typical.

They need some religious target, and CTR isn't here to be argued with.

It's the equivalent of Atheists arguing with Christains. Pointless as neither will listen
Your right man totally has nothing to do with welper spending all day advocating for public land to be sold to black rock. I agree it’s shitty people target his faith and weight but nigga look where we are.

Mabye actually read the thread instead of instantly jumping in to defend one of your butt buddies

Yeah. Who gives a shit?
I find it the height of arrogance to take ones personal Christology and declare that OFFICIAL CHRISTIANITY (TM).

For comparison, I despise Orthodoxy-Catholicism’s saints and most everything else unique about it, but I don’t consider it NotChristianity because it literally isn’t when you worship Jesus and have him as your savior figure.

In Arian theology (which Mormonism uses a variant of), Jesus, God, Holy Ghost are all separate gods.

In Athanasian Christianity, which is all the mainstream denominations, they both are the same thing and are separate from each other. The logical paradox is unresolvable and so there’s a bit of legalese woo (the Athanasian Creed) that brushes it aside and says “WOW THATS SO DEEP MAN.”
You just said
Christian’s believe Jesus is god
Mormons don’t believe Jesus is god,
By your own logic they aren’t Christians.
I’m so confused

If a Arian or human view of Christ is Christian how are Muslims and such not also Christian?

Your definition of Christianity is broad to the point using it would render all Abrahamic religions except Judaism as forms of Christianity

The lib fallacy about Trump selling federal land is that it's supposedly national parks, but I don't think anyone's talking about paving over Yellowstone

It's more like "All these hundreds of miles of grazing ground in Nevada are owned by the Federal Government so all farmers there have to pay the government for grazing permits, but also the government can just say fuck you no farmers get to graze here anymore so all the farms with literally nowhere else to graze their animals are ruined, and also no one voted for this and no one can vote against this or appeal it because this is the government's own property, so you have to pay at a toll booth to go to and from your home" and Trump is saying "How about we let those farmers actually buy and own the land they live off of?"

The likelihood of all the land being bought up by BlackRock/China is another problem

how a Church centered and named after Christ cannot be a Christian church.
because being a Christian actually means something. it's not just believing a man named Jesus of Nazareth existed It is recognizing that He Is The almighty God who created all reality with a word, He is not a created being nor is he the Brother of lucifer and the reason we were created is to serve and honor him, not to eventually become "gods" one day, that's literally the lie the serpent told to Eve in the garden of Eden. these are not tiny doctorial Issues, you believe in a completely different, blasphemous, fanfiction version of Him to the point where he's Christ in name only.

It's like claiming to be a Muslim who follows Muhammed but when you describe Muhammed you say he's actually a living 14 year old Jewish girl from San Francisco who loves Gay shit. i wouldn't call you a Christian in the same way If some guy today changed his name to "Jesus Christ" and started a religion i wouldn't call his followers "Christians".

there is no way half of the post in the past 15 pages don't get nuked from this thread.

What exactly makes a person Christian to you? Because I cannot see anything that means a damn besides recognizing Jesus as God.
  1. Reads scripture daily.
  2. Repents to Jesus when they sin.
  3. Prays daily.
  4. Tells others about Jesus.
  5. Abandons carnal pleasures and earthly luxuries.
  6. Not ashamed of their faith.
  7. Lives for Christ daily.

It's really funny to me how hard Democrats pander to native Americans and their general language just flow right through them like it's nothing. They treat them like they're niggers and just kinda assume they'll have them as a voter base without any second thoughts.
There's really not that many of us (maybe 5 million total?) & we mostly live in extremely red states, like Oklahoma, Montana, Wyoming, or the Dakotas. I assume the Democratic party never tried to pander to us 'cause it's just not economically worth it to fight for our votes (which usually go to Republicans 'cause we're not much different from any other flyover state conservative Middle American).

Because Muslims don’t consider Jesus “a god” at all, just a prophet.

Arianism is just one attempt at interpreting the Holy Trinity. Bible explicitly refers to Jesus as God, but it also explicitly refers to him as an entity that has a relation to God that in our earthly world is not possible (father-son).

Every theologian that tried to tackle this retarded puzzle got shouted down (and often their followers murdered) by muh Church. Modalism. Partialism. Arianism. And the success of Athanasianisn came down as much to political persecution as anything else. Arius’ take on it was the most elegant because it’s also the most common sense: if you’ve got God running around on the ground getting nailed to wood and God up in the clouds and God talks to God, then regardless of what we call it these can’t be the same entity.

I didn’t say “a god” because there is a possibility that somebody would bring up some obscure third-class Middle Eastern or Oriental religion from the Dark Ages that worships him as a god of carpentry or whatever shit alongside Zeus and Vishnu.

The central point of Christianity is that God had a son that was also God and came down here to die to absolve the world of its sin. All else is quibbling, purely intellectual, utterly unimportant.

Can you not concede that Catholicism has a slightly more coherent understanding of Christ than a group of people who think He was a Cherokee magician because Joseph Smith translated it from an Ancient Egyptian grocery receipt?
Explain to me first what the “Cherokee magician” crack is. It sounds, like the “Muslim moon god” thing to be chest-thumping nonsense.
