Of the many repugnant characteristics by which neoliberals earn the loathing of normal people, perhaps the most annoying is the supercilious condescension they vomit upon anyone who isn’t vile enough to embrace their ideology. Congresskike Sara Jacobs (D-CA) applied it to the esteemed shitlord Pete Hegseth at a recent House Armed Services Committee meeting for wanting to place military readiness ahead of the transsexual agenda:

Let’s educate Ms. Jacobs, shall we? If a crazy person proclaims himself to be Napoleon, that does not mean he is Napoleon. Likewise, if a crazy person declares himself to be a woman, that does not make him a woman. A man can no more be a woman than a parakeet can be a chihuahua. To believe otherwise is psychotic — as is the belief that imposing Corporal Klinger types on the military for purposes of social engineering will benefit the USA's national security.

You would be in the vast minority tho, most people didn’t vote for this and the dems would win the midterms hard

If sponsoring terrorists justifies bombing you would also be calling for us to bomb Qatar or Saudi Arabia, strangely it’s just the state sponsor of terrorism Israel and hawk think tank hates that should be bombed…….
When Trump orders the invasion of Iran, which is looking more and more likely, you will never see the right win anything ever again.
If Trump does do an attack/invasion of Iran, it will be the only thing remembered about his presidency. Maga will split in it's fanbase between supporting the bombing and not. The right will never win again, with both his invasion (Bush Jr 2.0) and mass changes in demographics

A lot of national and state parks only received the designation in the first place because the land was too mountainous or swampy or barren to build housing on, and this is still the case except for the deserts. Just look at the Angeles National Forest, a healthy cell surround by the worst urban tumors there are.

Nobody sane wants everywhere that currently doesn't fit the description, to turn into an urban bughive.

Which is what you're saying-without-saying here, in case anyone doesn't understand what 'underutilized real estate within current settled areas means', it means tenements. Row-housing if you're lucky where you can barely fit between your 'house' and your neighbor's 'house'.

nope

rust belt and pnw and even northern ca to a surprising extent are full of almost-ghost towns, places with whiteman housing, yards and everything, that are *empty*

The sad part is that, thanks to Trump's retardation, they'll probably win hard in the midterms and in 2028
That's simply not going to happen with regular lefties mocking and deriding Democrats/neolibs on a daily basis on xitter and elsewhere online. If Dems concoct anything resembling a plan to get the lefties back on their plantation, I'll reconsider that position, but for now I'm not interested in engaging in this back-and-forth semantics gaming on 'um ackshually dems have a chance :geek:'.

Yeah there are tons of empty houses in the US

They are surrounded by Niggers and economic decay

Detroit is fucking empty

I'm talking about small towns and very small cities because this isn't a crowd that likes cities

retaking the cities is easy too though, you just have to have the will

If Iran fires missiles at a US base in Iraq, for example, and it's provable that they did it (e.g. Iran claims responsibility or it's obvious that the missile came from Iran), then Iran is signing its own death warrant.
Iran has already done that. They did it in response to Trump killing Soleimani back in 2020. As far as I know, no one was killed in the attacks, but many were injured, and one was injured bad enough he later committed suicide because of the headaches.

We went through this exact situation with Syria in his first term.

We’ll bomb a bunch of bases, do a photo op, and pretend there is peace in the Middle East.

Ideally we do nothing, but the US Air Force is already moving tons of assets around, so they look committed. A land invasion would require massive army and naval movements that don’t seem to be happening.
I think the Syria bombing is a poor comparison. The Syrian government had been fighting a years long civil war at that point. They weren't in much of a position to retaliate, and probably didn't wanna face the consequences if they did. Hard to win a civil war when the American's take out your already limited air and artillery power. Iran isn't in that position. For all Israel's attempts to spark a civil war in Iran, it hasn't happened, and likely isn't going to. As I pointed out above, Iran has no problem taking direct, and indirect action against uniformed American military personnel. They have the means, and its much easier for them to hit bases in Iraq, or ships in the Gulf, than it is for them to hit Israel. If Trump is serious about hitting Iran, he needs to demand Israel deploy Iron Dome systems to the Iraq bases at a minimum.

Boy she sure got upset and eager to change the subject the moment he started pushing back, didn't she? Do these dipshits ever consider how this makes them look to the outside? Do they even care?

I'll admit they haven't fully built out Texas yet. But the part of Texas I know, from San Antonio to Austin is now wall to wall housing along IH-35 over the last 20 years. Off the freeway it's then "5 acre ranchettes" as far as you can see.

Here's the graph of Hays County, which is/was outside of Austin and San Antonio.

There would probably be more but the Hill Country, is, well, hilly and some spots are hard to build.
Dude, I remember, when attending school in Austin, there being a clear line of demarcation in terms of lots of undeveloped land between south Austin, pretty much south of William Cannon, and San Marcos. You definitely knew you were going "out of town" when you went to San Marcos.

(Hell, there was still a bit of undeveloped land between north Austin, where I lived, and Round Rock, just before the Dell invasion.)
Progress Action Fund (actual motto: “When Republicans go low, we go lower”) is wasting its money. Anyone dim enough to be convinced by this ad that the USA has no right to defend itself from foreign invasion is already voting Democrat.
It's not "wasting" money. It's spreading it out, payments to friendly production companies and others in that creation and distribution food chain.
If a crazy person proclaims himself to be Napoleon, that does not mean he is Napoleon.
And certainly that we should not put him in charge of an invasion of Russia. That wouldn't end well.
