I got a hot take on Nick's obsession with Redo of Healer. Idk if anyone said this before but I'll take a crack at it anyway:

He keeps isn't it "isn't porn" and he doesn't get off to it, and that he believes it's a beautiful and artistic story. That's worse.

If you enjoy it purely as smut, then at least in theory, no matter how sick or depraved the content gets, you're only watching it to get your rocks off. It's a sexual fantasy for you and no matter how grim it gets, nobody really gets hurt. You could argue reality doesn't line up with that ideal, but at least you'd have an issue on which reasonable people could presumably differ.

The fact that he likes it "for the story" is even more troubling, because the story is about a man going around systemically brutalizing and raping women in revenge for years of sexual abuse he suffered at their hands, but in a timeline where they haven't even victimized him yet. This is an absolutely terrifying story that, if not meant to be pornographic, instead becomes a horror story. It's a story where a cycle of sexual abuse is carried out in a particularly cruel and tragic way.

But I'm giving it way too much credit. I haven't seen it but I assume this is all just window dressing for dumb rape porn. Because it's dumb rape porn.

But what Nick sees in it disturbs me. He sees it as a heroic tale of righteous vengeance, of a man taking back his power, defeating the people who "wrong him." IE: He's just projecting his own vindictiveness and hatred of other people onto a stupid gooner anime. It gives you insight into what level of retribution and suffering is justified in his whacked out crackhead brain.

2022-10-23: Nick's Revenge Rape

Elissa clipped a segment from Nick's show on Rumble in October of 2022 wherein he would yell at LegalBytes (a woman) for being the worst lawtuber. Nick rants about raping (until they like it, and then raping them some more) anyone who would call him out on something. Over the past weeks I've being in this thread, I've come to the belief that Nick is a sociopath, always has been, always will be. But he was relatively low in impulsivity, which kept him in check, he didn't do stuff that was out of line because he knew consequences, and maybe there was a little empathy there, but not a healthy amount. Once he got into drugs though I think it just completely ruined any sense of reason with him, and pushed him into being more impulsive.

If I'm remembering correctly, the context of him showing the picture really puts a bit of a different spin on what he did. Not that it wouldn't be a crime anyway, but I recall him saying something along the lines of "your boy didn't do too bad." He obviously wasn't out to ruin her reputation or even speak badly of her, he was bragging about getting to sleep with her. Does that get taken into consideration at all? To me there's a big difference between someone who spreads a picture across the internet to make a woman miserable and someone who shows it to one person because he thinks she's worth bragging about.
